Transit is O.K. Even if it costs us. We need to integrate our infrastructure and economy with India's, so that trade between mainland and NE relies on BD as the middleman. If we don't seize this opportunity, they will find a way to bypass BD, through Myanmar.

They would become dependent on this transit corridor. And sometime in the future, 100% of mainland India - NE trade would pass through BD. Isn't that great? I hope you understand how that helps BD in the negotiation tables.

*Cough Cough*.. Look at the map buddy. They won't be walking on the water. That's why ships are pretty useful. Reaching the lower states of NE through Myanmar takes just a little longer.
