Is Iran really strong ?

never expect him to be objective...

what the hell? if a country has poverty, that means they dont care??? what a BS...

Iran is doing better than arab countries. But my impression of Iran is, they are doing very good, but the moment their current leaders open their mouth, they make fool of themselves.
First they complained about london 2012 logo being "Zion". And now they say they will "play gloriously in London Games". Only other people who can do it are north koreans.

Iran is a country with huge potential. I think the regime is a big hindrance to its growth.

Problem is, they don`t care about their people.
They do care. Actually Iran is has socialist economy with heavily subseeded prices. Thats actually main problem of Iran, because socialist economy is not effective and almost solely depends on oil prices. In general Iran reminds a lot USSR.

Iran is a very good country with much potential, however, its communist roots were disrupted by the US in 1953 when they killed Mossadeq.

Hopefully, Iranians will reform their government, internally, at their own pace, without foreign intervention, CIA backed coups or a bloody revolution, and attain their rightful place in the world.

You think saying stupid things affect economics or decreases the standard of living?

I agree with this but they need to get ride of the religious leaders and separate religious authority from governmental authority. But the problem is the more threatened the Iranian people feel from Israel and the US, the more they flock to the Ayatollahs.

it is your fantasm Iran is interfering
the problem is that you are used to mistreat the shias and that you're not able to see it

so you show in your post how much hatred you have towards us

i understand this is coming from Bahrain making you upset
it would be better to keep a dictator from a very small group and put the shias in a hell of poverty: it is what you defend

so you are totally a fake muslim

since a real muslim doesn't care you're shia or suni and so: he cares we share the same values or should
and respect each other

myself i have no problem with egyptians or africans or pakistanis : i feel nothing wrong towards them
they are as brother to me than a Persian shia (i wonder they are not so many in reality when you all these young people fed up of religion)

Remember this moment very well . . You mention the subject of Shiites, Sunnis, not I am . . I have worked in Bahrain for three years and I think that the conditions of the Bahraini Shiites who suffer from poverty " As you claim" is a thousand times better than the situation of the Iranian people . . On the other hand . . How do you explain Iran encourage to the demonstrations in Bahrain and calling it a (((fair))) while at the same time, the Iranian regime kills the Iranian people In the streets of Tehran, when they demonstrate

Yes but they are not as hopeless as some of the other oil states. Iran has potential to become a balanced economy, in fact their scientific output is pretty much the highest in the middle east barring Israel (which in only geographically middle eastern)

No it does not. But points to a wider problem of leaders being seen as not serious, and eccentric.
It definitely does not give any confidence to outsiders in doing business there.

Iran's current regime is very hard to understand.

On the one hand, they keep trying to get closer to China, in order to give themselves some extra political leverage and a voice on the UNSC. China gets oil contracts in return.

On the other hand, they like to criticize China's internal affairs, i.e. the Uighur ethnic riots.

One step forwards, one step backwards. It is just confusion.

Ahmadinejad isn't the real power in Iran.

Good point . . I salute you

This is a fact . . the regime in Iran exploits it in order to stay in power . . and suppression the opposition calls for reform . . Israel has become a heroin used by the regime in Iran to numb the people of iran

That is true , they even keep expressing hope for closer relations with India and mention things like INdia and Iran are true friends but their religious leaders keep talking about India's internal affairs like Kashmir .

They are indeed difficult to understand even for us Indians .
