Is history being repeated?

In 1965. after the war, Bhutto resigned from his post and started a revolutionary new party which was expected to win and sweep the elections. It gained support from the students against the government of the time which called itself democratic. There were violent uprisings in East Pakistan with talks of secession. Though the secession happened later in 1971, it happened because of events in 1970 and was not popular at all before that. Media spread propaganda against the Bengals, an ethnicity of Pakistan. It also demoralised the people when this was far from the truth.

So you know, I was wondering, anyone else see PTI as the new PPP? PPP started off as a party of the people too but later it became the party of the feudals. It also gained support amongst the students and youths of Pakistan who took Bhutto as a role model. There were talks about secession which Bhutto used to his advantage. It's the same situation now. Is history being repeated?

i beleive its too early to compare imran with bhutto and PTI with PPP, imran is not even close to benazir bhutto yet.

it's to early to say if IK is better or worse then BB, as for BB she was no where close to be compared to Jinnah or zulfiqar ali bhutto

Jinnah was a legend but ZAB? He was one of the main people responsible for the separation of East Pakistan and if he had swallowed his pride in 1970, we'd still be one country
