Counter acting the PakFa with a similar plane may be expensive for most countries,specially china and Pakistan,but a whole lot of tweaking on their existing air defense and jet planes may be feasible.

if china wants to develop stealth system,3D TVC,Advanced avionics,Fifth generation Engines,coz Russia only sell RD engines,they are no where near next generation,and at this time,China can't produce it's own Engine,so u think how many years it may take to expertise in engines,they'll have to work for another 25years..
coz no one is gonna give them stealth tech..
not USA,NOT RUSSIA,any other..
So by the time about 2040 u Induct stealth JF17,there will be 6th generation unmanned Fighter jet in India's arsenal....

calm guys let me remind you Pakistan in only one sixth of india size in population
As a result india will always have a huge advantage .In a case of a conventional war india will win.
A Better comparison will be india(1.2) and china(1.3) who would win? china
china has has already got engines in testing phase .They will likely be developed by some time this decade.As result the Russians are selling as many RD engines as they can.

Russia and India combined military spending is between 75-96 .While china is 100-160 thus more resources for research in development .Ingeniousness satellite shooting technology and Aircraft carrier seeking missile. Don't under estimate the Chinese.


Especially when there huge poverty in pakistan and india.but we still spend billions trying each other a lesson .That is so retarded since 1947
Also defense secretary robert gate said in a congressional hearing .that the J-XX will be in Plaaf service between 2015-2020.


But like the people previous post i think F-22 raptor will be the best counter .

Pakistan wont get F-22 raptor .Thus JF-17 stealth variant will be the best available plane ,that is also cost effective for pakistan needs.

Also don't think there will in the war between china India Pakistan.Because compared to the cold war time .There relation has drastically improved even after mumbai attacks relations are are moving forward
Thus making massive military spending's and massive investment in J-xx ,Pak-T-50 reduntant

china is developing its own 5th gen fighter . so it wont go for pak fa anyways . with india as a partner its natural china wont get its hands on pak fa even if it wanted to .

Russia’s attempts to settle down on China’s arms market have been made to no avail, the Nezavisimaya Gazeta reports. Chinese pirates have entered a new level of activity. They mastered the production technology and developed the Chinese production of Su-27 analogues with a view to subsequently export the planes to third world countries.

The military cooperation between Russia and China has not been very successful during the recent couple of years. Russia’s arms exports to China dropped by 62 percent. In addition, Russia does not sign any new defense cooperation contracts with China. For the time being, the two countries simply execute the previously signed contracts, the sum of which total about $1.8 billion




I dont think so even after this bitter experience Russians will ever think to repeat the same mistake again.
