higher than %100 actually. But still higher GDP than Iran, still a bigger defence budget.

Tukish economy is badly mismanaged. Our GDP should have hit a trillion dollars years ago. Even Iranian "refugees" are running away back to Iran lol

and here I thought your livelihood depended on making donar, using Iranian gas and electricity, for the millions of affluent Iranian tourists going there to unwind !

You guys have managed to antagonize all your neighoubrs, and are now searching for buddies and your long-lost ancestors in Central Asia, Congratulations!

Nooo... Erdog. hates any mention of central asia, he loves his illiterate afghan, and arab lowlife islamist piece of shits.

Turkish government loves to suck arab dick.

Other than that you're mostly correct, he did antagonize everyone.

We haven't done anything to Iran though, IRan is antagonizing Turkey by openly supporting the armenian regime.

1. They aren't aggressive against Iran, Iran is aggressive towards Azerbaijan. You keep threatening them.

2. They have to. Armenian lobbies are very powerful in western countries. They need the jews to balance that.

No we wanted to help them but they betrayed iran.
They planed many terrorist attacks inside iran(with mosad plans) and many more plans to weaken iran stability.
They are just a tool for jews now.

Help how? Did iran do anything to help Azerbaijan when a quarter of Azerbaijan's lands were invaded by Armenia?

. .
We helped Azerbaijan in first Karabakh war. We stoped Armenian Army at that war.
You describe remaining neutral and hosting peace talks as helping or supporting Azerbaijan. You must have very high verbal IQ or something :-)

I remember Iran threatening Azerbaijan in 2001 and I will remember Iran threatening Azerbaijan in 2023. We all know you can't do anything but it's disgusting nevertheless.

Anyway enough off-topic, back to Yak-130.

We can see on the pictures that hardpoints are present on the plane already. Which enforces what I said before that Iran will use them as strike aircraft and Yasin will be used as a trainer instead.

What about this? Any truth to this Su-30 claim? If so, then our suggestions were right on the money!

I think I heard about a hybrid SU-30/35 deal sometime here before, but can't remember how long ago. It was speculated there would be a larger number of SU30 and a smaller number of the 35s. I think the 30s might have been assembled in Iran, but not sure on that though.
Over the longer term, perhaps the 30s could be upgraded in house to 35 standard or something close? How useful are the 30s to Iran right now as they are, given that they would likely be inside the envelope of the National Air Defense Grid and liaising closely with air defense forces? What's the longest range they can fire?
Also, Could they carry Fakour 90s and launch with a nearby tomcat AM controlling the missiles? They seem to have strong enough engines to keep up with a tomcat and could maybe rush to a siege point and fire fakours and maghsouds. Problem with this strategy is that tomcats are limited and would be heavily targeted by the enemy knowing they can neutralize IRIAFs longest bvr missiles.

VERY. Turkey is basically begging America for more F16s despite the fact that Hürjet is almost operational. Number of capable fighter jets you can keep in flying condition is critical for a country's national security. Su-30 or Su-35 doesn't matter, Iran desperately needs more airframes.

And Forget about Fakour, the real question is how can Iran buy enough R-77s and other Russian missiles to arm their legacy fleet of F4s, F14s, etc. If Iran can manage to upgrade those planes with more modern Russian avionics, that would be a huge improvement.

Iran's domestic industry should focus on drones and cruise missiles. They could be sold to Russia in exchange for relatively high tech Russian stuff.

Sardar Farhi visiting Yassin's training jet testing stages: The Islamic Republic of Iran's aviation developments played an important role in the arrival of the Yak 130 in the country, because the knowledge and technology of making advanced pilot training aircraft has become indigenous in the country.

In fact, providing these planes has a direct relationship with the level of developments in the aviation industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran. All the arrangements needed by the country's pilots have been implemented in Yasin's advanced training jet, and the Yak 130 plane can be considered the completion of the country's pilot training circle.

An indication that Iran does not intend to ditch domestic fighter jet development including the production of Yasin trainers. Procuring some jets from Russia to fill a gap will not undermine indigenous projects.

The Su-30SM is already a beast, so I personally wouldn't worry about upgrading it to Su-35 standard as long as it has everything it needs to successfully complete its maximum capabilities. Being a 2-seater gives it other options the Su-35 doesn't have.

I think they would be very useful, depending on the numbers. If Iran gets a dozen or less, that won't change things much except for using them as trainers to the Su-35s and maybe some escorting/patrolling/intercepting missions etc. Possibly anti-ship and attack missions also and work with the AD like you said oh wait, even 12 would be great! lol.

I'm pretty sure they can fire the R-37M and its derivatives for very long ranges, including the latest Russian A2A munitions. Keep those big, enemy AWACS, recon/intel and tanker aircraft further away and disrupt their duties. Disrupt and make it difficult to conduct their specific missions which is an important defensive tactic. Make that disruption force the enemy to change their mission parameters.

I think they would complement the Su-35 in many ways, but it depends on the numbers and availability of weapons. 30 Su-35s and 24 or more Su-30SMs would be a tremendous leap in the IRIAF and make a drastic impact for Iran's defensive and offensive capabilities. The more, the merrier.

Also, Could they carry Fakour 90s and launch with a nearby tomcat AM controlling the missiles?

I don't think you would need the F4s or 14s to control the Fakours. That can be done by the back-seater or even the pilot. Integrating the missiles to the Russian-built platforms would be the more challenging part IMO.

And Forget about Fakour, the real question is how can Iran buy enough R-77s and other Russian missiles to arm their legacy fleet of F4s, F14s, etc. If Iran can manage to upgrade those planes with more modern Russian avionics, that would be a huge improvement.

Yep, especially loading up on RVV-SDs and RVV-Ms plus KH-31s & KH-35s since we know they'll need to target ships and possibly critical ground targets.

And yes on the legacy Phantoms & Tomcats upgrades. It's incredible how they've been able to not only keep those machines flying, but keeping them viable as fighting platforms, especially the F-14 which could eventually benefit from a replacement by the Su-30SM.

Persiacat packing some heat.

I'm not sure about that, Iran already operates some chinese anti-ship missiles which, there might be more availability. Especially considering with how depleted Russian ALCM stocks are, they might not be willing to sell.

F-14 flying with SU-35s PESA radar could be very interesting.Same radar probably would fit the F4 too.

Most Iranian members here being barely functioning, drooling autists, they don't realize the significance of these opportunities.

Yo relax Legion, it’s just a forum. Stop inviting hostility with petty language like that.
