Why is Saudi Arabia so scared of Iran despite having 3rd biggest military budget in the world? Only USA and China have a bigger defence budget.... It a shame that Saudi Arabia despite its huge military budget and state of the art weapons cant go toe to toe with Iran. A country that has been under sanctions and isolated for 40 years.

Because military equipment and budget alone cant guarantee the win, even the US military has realized this recently. Strategy, dedication/commitment, unity, and timing are often as importan IMO as budget and military equipment.

I cant understand why the Saudis dont want to fight. Most of their soldiers grew up very comfortable with a easy life. This normally makes people soft. Tough times make hard men they say....

It's the mentality they instill when young. Saudi do not have an comprehensive national strategy when dealing with national identity and dedication.

The worst publicity that any weapon maker can get is by selling arms to khaliji arabs...most sophisticated weapons become a joke in the hands of people who were tending camels 50 years ago...

Few years ago an American contractor told me all these sand arabs want is a bigger gun than their neighbour..so they have to research who has the biggest and longest barrel gun and offer them a longer one..lol..and I am not joking..

It was usa stupid Iraq invasion. that was a game changer for everyone. Once strong Iraqi army was destroyed vultures flew in and were picking off the carcass of that country. nothing to really boast about, iraq was then just left defenceless

Iran doesnt want nukes, Iran "wants " nukes if US wont agree to allow IRan freely exist with its sphere of influence in the Middle east (primarily), this is my strong view. If Iran wanted the nukes just only, Iran would've just kept moving towards it, and not stop until the bomb is gotten, but IRan hasnt done that. US will ahve to lift sanctions though on Iran, or else Iran gets the bomb, screenshot that, the nuclear program is a blackmail and leverage tool for IRan against US, thats my opinion, so its a negotiations...US will lose though, cuz US let IRan come this far and IRan is already this strong, so yea, either short war, or latent Iranian nuke capability just gets accepted.

Saudi Arabia can produce hundreds of thousounds of sophisticated Ballistic missiles of all ranges and warheads not only tens of thousands.. but that is a war effort ..you won't see it before war is declared..
