Iran’s ‘staggering’ execution spree: nearly 700 put to death in just over six months

If Iranians of all people who hardly live in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands etc. (you get the point) can make hypocritical threads about KSA, UAE, Egypt or whatever states that they don't like due to regime policies or whatever reasons then surely Arabs are entitled to make threads about Iran that point out the hypocrisy.

Especially as Iran is much worse than any Arab nation on this front. It's not even close. Those are not my words but those of Amnesty International and statistics confirm it.

If I wanted to put Iran in a bad spotlight I could post several such threads each weak as there is plenty of such bad publicity. There is no need to state the obvious though not that the MENA region is famed for its righteous regimes to begin with but I only see Iranians here parroting that their regime is much better than others in the region which is an outright lie and it cannot be taken seriously.

I don't see any Arab users doing that whether it's Saudi Arabians or Egyptians for instance.

I am personally pro-death penalty for hardcore criminals provided that the trials are conducted in a fair fashion but hypocrisy should be combated.

Well you are right to some extent.

No country in the middle East is a real democracy with proper human rights/freedom of expression etc. Reason many youths in the middle East will rather immigrate to the kafir West than stay in their own country for a better life :D

largely peaceful before that.

largely peaceful ? you must be completely ignorant of Shah's intervention in yemen

Not to mention Bahrain whom Great Britain interfered to protect from shah's regime ..

and do you also remember the brief war between iran and iraq before the revolution?

i'm sure you haven't even heard of it

Not to an extent. Fully, lol.

No, but there are quite a few Arab countries who are not far away at least for MENA standards. Talking specifically about Tunisia and Lebanon.

Not people from the GCC. The only migrants are rich investors who are buying up London, Paris and European firms and students.:) People from the GCC already migrated across the entire Muslim world and their most evident legacy is the Arab world.:coffee:

Yes, a lot of migrants prefer the West. No secret about that and it's understandable.

Lets all agree on one thing, Provided that the law was followed, due process took place. Lets make this a precedent, NOT to go down this road again, irrespective of which country hangs/ shoots/ beheads how many. Agreed?

What do you good people say?

As many if not even more people (most of the 450 million Arabs to start with) can say exactly the same about your nut bags and viruses that have been plaguing the MENA region since 1979 while it was largely peaceful before that.

I think every country has the right how to maintain its legal system. If a country wants to bring back castration, it has nothing to do with me. My problem is when countries attack other countries. The west attacking a country like Libya because of human right abuses is the problem .

Bombs being dropped on other countries is the problem p, not hanging ropes or swords to cut off heads or electric seats.

So the ME was more engulfed in wars before 1979? I am talking about the recent era. From 1945 until 1979. The "Arab" Mullah's ruling Iran have been a stabilizing factor for the ME too I guess? That must be news for everyone.

At least I am not a hypocrite and have never lived in Iran while you have lived in the UAE (you even told me that your supposed wife lives there) which is an Arab country on the Arabian Peninsula neighboring KSA with people identical to those of KSA (Eastern Province and Najd especially).

i'm not an arab-hater like some imposters on this forum pretend to be , i infact never was , but the arabs never realize who their enemies lie within ..

Did you take a look at the conflicts between 1945-1979? I just did and some quick math told me that less than 380.000 people died in ALL conflicts in the MENA region between 1945-1979. Almost all the casualties the fault of the Arab-Israeli War of 1948 and the Yemeni Civil War between 1962-1970.

Meanwhile looking at the situation since 1979 and especially the Iraq-Iran war (which would never have occurred if the Mullah's had not gained power) (a time period consisting of 36 years - 2 more years than between 1945-1979) we can see that the overall casualties are many times bigger.

That's because something tells me that you are from Eastern Iran (Khorasan) or Southern Iran which are regions where many Arabs settled and live or people of partial Arab descent. I once read that there are even villages/small towns composed almost entirely of Arabs speaking an ancient Khorasani Arabic dialect. Contrary to the Azeri region for instance where there are almost no Arabs outside of the "Sayyids" which Iran seems full of.

There are no enemies other than long-ended historical rivalries that are revived by the regimes who rule. The enemies of all the MENA are the systems in place and mentalities that are prevalent. Nothing else. Europe was 100 times worse not long ago and killed each other on a 100 times bigger scale but they have learned from their mistakes now. This is why you hardly ever will encounter Europeans having the discussions we have outside of silly banter and rivalry. Often this only resurface during sport rivalries. Exclude Balkan here and a few other political hotspots but almost everyone else in Europe is like that.

well you must be specially smart , sorry i missed that , i am from southeast iran but here the arabs only dare to speak their accent and not their full mother tongue , for that to happen they have to move more towards the west

--------------------

and the most humiliating war raged against arabs in the region was by the US in 2003 , against the saddam hussain's regime ,and that iran didn't have any part in , unless you somehow believe the mullahs instigated the US to attack iraq .. which i won't blame you for afterall

Southeast Iran as in Iranian Baluchistan? I was specifically refering to the historical Khorasan province. What I believe is now known as North, South and Razavi Khorasan. I also don't think that it was a coincidence that Prophet Muhammad's family (or at least some of the descendants) chose to settle in that part of Iran and died there. When naturally they could have settled in Southern and Western Iran which is much closer geographically.

Well, Iranians are free to speak in Farsi openly in the GCC and nobody is bothering them. There are even nightclubs in the UAE for instance that are frequented by mainly Iranians and some are owned by them. They have their own clubs etc. like almost any people. Most migrants group do interact with each other at least this is the case in the GCC which is positive on many fronts and especially a great think in terms of food.

Anyway I was thinking about those guys and similar ones.

Many Arab states probably secretly wanted the removal of Saddam (for instance the Al-Assad regime was very happy about that despite being the only other Ba'athi country - what a joke when you think about it). Aside from that there is very little solidarity among MENA regimes and too many people are engaged in silly rivalries and discussions. It's reached a point where millions of Iraqis don't care about politics and if they could most of them would migrate abroad tomorrow morning. Too many people are hopeless in the region and I know for a fact that Iran is no different.

The thing here is that this is often not the case in the MENA region and people have accepted this as a natural thing which is why changes on all fronts that need to be changed are so difficult to make. People have become used to accept injustice. They even actively take part in it. That's a big problem.

meh , every single iranian knows what happened to the family of prophet muhammed after his death (miraj') starting with his cousin , the people who used to be Kafir started mistreating them and chasing them as far as your beloved Khurasan ; there might be arabs there speaking their mother tongue , , but as far as i know in the Kerman province where i live there's not a single arab speaking arabic in the public , i for one always had the lowest grades in arabic .. i never understood what it represented , there are even turks in kerman speaking afshari' turkish , but not a single arab speaking arabic in public. ...

Kerman is not Khorasan is it? Also I have never heard about Arabs living in that city. That's because Arab presence in Iran far predates Turkic presence and the longer a community stays in their adopted country the bigger is the chance of them losing their mother tongue and large parts of their culture. It would not surprise me at all if there are numerous Iranians (difficult to estimate the number) of Arab origin but without knowing it. Especially as Iranians unlike Arabs for instance did not spend much time on tracing their ancestry and from my knowledge surnames are a very new thing in Iran. Many outsiders probably adopted to those habits not to stick out too much. Back then your main identification as an individual was your religion too.

How many of the 40.000 (not sure if there are more correct me if the number is wrong) or so Parsis in Pakistan and India speak Farsi today? How many of the 30-40 million Arab Latinos speak Arabic today? How many people of Iranian Arab (Hawala), Lur and Persian origin in the GCC speak Farsi today? How many of the 50 million German-Americans can speak German today?

The answer to all of them? Very few overall and mostly the oldest generation alive if even that.

In France where 6 million Arab/Berbers live many third generation "migrants" in those communities have a weak command of their grandparents/parents mother tongues. This concerns all migrants in France whether of European or non-Euroepean descent. it's a global phenomenon.

Should a Saudi be pointing a finger at another country over executions?

The UN and France have called on Saudi Arabia to call off the beheading and crucifixion of Shia youth Ali al-Nimr. Ali was arrested in 2012, when he 17 years old, for crimes that include sedition, protesting and robbery in the remote Eastern province of Qatif. He was sentenced to be publicly beheaded and then “crucified,” which is a direct translation from the Arabic term for the public display of his body. The Inquisitr reported last week that Ali had expended all his legal avenues of appeal and that the execution would go ahead.
