Iran's security forces kill 2 Pakistanis trying to sneak across border

. . .
I think Pakistan and Iran should also build a border fence. There is money for a gas pipeline, so why not for a border fence? It makes the border easier to manage, keeps both countries safer, and we can share resources in manning it.

Currently the border is regularly crossed by militants, smugglers, people traffickers, it's helping to destablise the area and will only get worse with Gwadar being built. The enemies of our state will use the border to move anti Pakistan assets around.

A proper fortified border fence should be built, there should be regular forts and checkpoints and border forces across both sides should work together to share data and resources to man the border. For example If Pakistan builds a tower, Iran should then build a tower a mile down the road, not in the same place on the other side. They should also share UAV patrols to get greater coverage, daily briefings about intel should be shared, perhaps have a shared computer network were intel can be shared and acessed by commanders across the border etc.

Precaution and care is a must between even blood relatives. If I give you money to put in the bank, you should count the exact amount in my presence before you take it from me. This reduces any scope for suspicion and abuse. The same kind of approach should be taken to our border with Iran and China, the two neighbours we don't have hostilities with.

Iranians are Brahmins for Pakistanis.
Baba ji hopefully not infuriating you, may I add my two cents. In one of the talks on the Pakistan Iran relations. The speaker argues that during Shah's reign Iranis looked at Pakistanis as hicks/peasants and Pakistanis looked at Iranis as wimps. Both are gross generalizations, defining oneself in relation to others is not wise for Pakistan in my view. Thou we are still not sure about the nature of our relation, historically both Bhutto and Shah wanted to be the big brother in the relationship. I think we like to believe ourselves as heirs of Mughals and hence would like same historic stature in our relations to neighbors - I don't think that is going to happen.

Its very complicated. Iranians are driven by superiority complex and that is much evident all over the forum as well. While Pakistanis have the higher moral ground but suffer from inferiority complex because of language and the 'islamic' history.

We simply just have to get along and stop chasing the BFF dream.

For old village idiots like me. I find Kulbashan Yadev network very similar to the Al Zulfiqar network of the 80s. Butto bent backwards for Iran too.

There is appetite for their art. There are Irani films being screened in Pakistan. Recently a khatati numaish was held in RWP by Irani father daughter duo. You see historically they exported art to mughals miniature paintings and khatati probably at the top. Our shahi mosque is said to be mix of Irani-Bhuddist architecture. You cannot deny Persian historic influence in our lands. I am more interested in this aspect because I like beauty.

Cultural interchange is not my concern at all. I am not denying the influence nor undermining it.
This is a Nair type argument which has zero weight-age.

Art and Architecture are not bound by borders or state politics.

Baba ji I wasn't arguing. har waqt munazre ka nahi hota. Some bazauq people give weight-age to beauty as well as arguments. Beauty and truth are related.

IRGC reports the incident, border guards have foiled a terrorist attack in Mirjaveh bordering city.
https://www.mashreghnews.ir/news/847550/توضیحات-قرارگاه-قدس-سپاه-درباره-درگیری-مرزی-امروز
Two IRGC members were martyred, terrorists were crushed on the border. Terrorists, Jeysh Ul adl Takfiri group under saudi protection, tried to take over an Iranian watchtower on the bordering area . Terrorists faced resistance of border guards, after a short time engagement between border guards and terrorists, IRGC forces arrived to help border guards. Most of terrorists were sent to hell and others were wounded. IRGC reports

If they had weapons in first case we wouldn't hand them over to Pakistani authorities ( immigration or smuggling case ) . that's a different case
