TEHRAN- Iran Air, the flag carrier airline of Iran, will take delivery of the third newly purchased Airbus jets today.

The 330-200 Airbus is to land at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport at 5:00 P.M., according to a report by ISNA.
During a visit by President Hassan Rouhani to Paris in January 2016, Iran provisionally ordered 118 Airbus jets worth $27 billion.

The first and the second planes that Iran has purchased from the European aviation giant Airbus landed in Tehran on January 12 and March 11, 2017, respectively.
Transport Minister Abbas Akhoundi announced in mid-January that renovation of Iran Air fleet has begun, adding that according to the contracts with world major plane makers, Iran Air is to receive 200 new planes, of which 100 will be purchased from Airbus and 80 from Boeing.

. . .
So Iran is not buying any boeings? hmm Strange, how did US even allow that to happen.

. . .
Russia's new MS-21 and China's new Comak 919 will broaden the civil aviation markets very soon. Iran will most likely buy some of these Russo-chinese types too very soon, in addition to 20 off the Japanese MRJ. The world does not revolve around the hillbilly anymore, in case you haven't noticed.

and then you realize all 3 use hillbilly engines

On the MRJ yes, but on the MS-21 the Russian PD-14 and on the Chinese 919 the LEAP-1C.

Now go back to watching CNN and Al-jazeera.
well
The CFM International LEAP is a high-bypass turbofan engine. It is produced by CFM International, a 50-50 joint venture company between GE Aviation of the United States and Safran Aircraft Engines (formerly known as Snecma) of France.
and MC-21 is in development and only one is built and also the blades in PD-14 is inferior to the one in western engines.

LOL,
here genius, MS-21 even has many other Western components

Although the aircraft itself won’t be here, show visitors can have a look at its flight deck via a procedures trainer, which features the avionics suite installed at the first aircraft. It features multifunctional 9x12-in. displays, electronic flights bags, and enhanced vision and synthetic vision systems, and includes components supplied by foreign manufacturers such as Honeywell, Thales and Elbit Systems. The MC-21 will also become the first commercial airliner with active sidesticks, supplied by U.S.-based United Technologies Aerospace Systems.

The first MC-21-300 prototype is powered by 31,000-pounds-thrust Pratt & Whitney PW1400G-JM turbofans which were certified by the Federal Aviation Administration in May.

The first export order of MS-21 to AZAL, also selected PW1400G engines.

do you even know what Leap is? you self proclaimed expert

The CFM International LEAP is a high-bypass turbofan engine. It is produced by CFM International, a 50-50 joint venture company between GE Aviation of the United States and Safran Aircraft Engines (formerly known as Snecma) of France. It is a modernized replacement for the successful CFM International CFM56, intended to compete with the Pratt & Whitney PW1000G in the single-aisle jetliner market.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFM_International_LEAP

The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has chosen the LEAP engine for its new COMAC C919 aircraft.[18] The aircraft was due to begin testing in 2016.[19]

On July 20, 2011, American Airlines announced that it planned to purchase 100 Boeing 737 aircraft featuring the LEAP-1B engine.[20] The project was approved by Boeing on August 30, 2011 as the Boeing 737 MAX.[21][22] Southwest Airlines is the launch customer of the 737 MAX with a firm order of 150 aircraft.[23]

CFM International offers its support for the engine, and signed a 15-year Rate per Flight Hour agreement with Loong Air for 20 LEAP-1A at U.S $333 million, or $3039 per engine per day, in contrast with U.S. $138 million for 17 CFM International CFM56 over 12 years or $1852 per engine per day.[24] As a number of A320neo engine for ANA group of Japan was also ordered in 2014, there is a possibility to select the LEAP engine.[25]

In 2016 CFM booked 1,801 orders, LEAP backlog is at more than 12,200 for more than $170 billion U.S. at list price.[4]

You do know that the engines on Chinese 919 is made by U.S(GE) and France(Safran) Right?https://www.safran-aircraft-engines.com/commercial-engines/single-aisle-commercial-jets/leap/leap-1c
Same with many other systems on that plane.

So calm down, cooperation is always better than foolish useless ideological propaganda, especially considering the fact that the world's aerospace industry is largely dominated by the West.
Even Russia who has a quite advanced aerospace industry still relies on western parts/equipment etc for its indegenious airplanes. So calm down dude, you don't have to be anti-West in every comment you make just for the sake of it. Lol Cooperation is always better than otherwise, except you want to be left behind.

.
Thanks for nothing other than the usual propaganda. Hey, Azerbhaijani Einstein, if Russia can offer the Sukhoi Super jet with all its proven systems and sub systems, then on the MS-21 all of these can be replaced/ replicated with Russian at the customers request. I don't see any export problems here at all for Russia.

Now, as I said.......go watch CNN and Al-Jazeera.

For how long will it be dominated by the west Mike?........Come on now...........Let's get real.

You mean to say that those Luddite systems shown in your chart can't be replicated/ replaced by China or Russia, from existing systems from the Il-62/ Tu-204/ Sukhoi Super Jet? at the customers request to avoid U.S. export controls? Is that what you are saying?.....lol
