Since Iran has two types of armed forces one being professional and the other conscript based, it would be interesting to hear about it. As all Iranian males are required to spend time in Iranian military as soldiers, so it would nice to see those Iranians who have served their nation share some of their memories and experiences from their time in military. Have you served your country? Was it fun? Was it hard? How is it like to be a soldier in Iranian army? Do you have any pictures you can post?

I'll go for it in a few months, in sha Allah.

I have been a student until just recently. Students are exempt until they finish their studies.

So, how you think about it? Is it going to be hard?

I also haven't done it b/c I've been out of Iran since I was 12. For the past couple of years I've thought about it. If it was a half year thing I would do it. If I could go back in time, instead of wasting time after I graduated from highschool here, I would go back and do my military service. Now, there is just no time.

I have family members who have done it though. Depending on where you get sent, you can have an easy/boring time or a crazy/fun experience. I guess the only place you fon't wanna get sent is Baluchistan and the Afghanistan border. I would **** bricks if I had to do it in one of those places.

Not really, it was a bit unsafe for soldiers from 2003-2010 but right now Jundullah is castrated and they are totally unable or incapable to engage Iranian troops at the border. What they can do is to do few sucide bombings but in the last 1,2 years they are not even capable of doing that. Remember, IRGC under command of Pakpour sent several divisions there the last 2 years to secure the area. Mission accomplished

the memeber of the Iranian MKK who worked with sadam told him come join them and we will take you abroad, but he spat in their face, and they beat him with a brick.

The first 2-3 months is the initial training, sounds like if you go for it After getting your university degree if will be easy.
