really? a propeller drone cant reach 60.000 ft(with that shape), please elaborate more, what engine does it have?

well its been confirmed , Iran didn't elaborate on what's the new engine but they have hinted before that they are working on new engines but recently they unveiled Jahesh-700 turbofan engine for its drones ( that will reach 60,000 feet with no problem ) soo maybe they built something more powerful with it. IRGC is going to unveil Shahed-149 in near future its much more powerful version of Shahed-129 we will see more there.
Another issue for long range uavs is the necessity of satcom. Ground radio control can be jammed.
You need at least continious drone coverage in all your space of operations.
Your satellites can be taken down by opposing anti sat weapons making you restricted to limited range and jamming vulnurable ground radio control.
High altitude balloons can be used as satellites. They stay at 40kms high and cant be targeted by a2a from long ranges. They will need an f15 under it or close to it to strike an asat missile. Until then they will be targeted by your sams , interceptors, drones etc. This can at least provide some coverage within your landspace and close to borders.

Judging from the footage of the strike of this new suicide drone, it has a pretty quiet Wankel engine and that shows a very capable engineering. Impressive indeed!Possibly from launcher:

@skyshadow do you know if the iranian reverse engineered 1:1 version of rq-170 is operational? Or they only developed one prototype?
