Iranian President Approves 5 Prioritized Security, Defense Plans

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani endorsed approvals of the Supreme Council for Science, Research and Technology to prioritize a number of mega national plans in security and defensive fields.
The plans which have been approved at the 22nd meeting of the Supreme Council for Science, Research and Technology include:

1.Indigenization and development of subsurface technologies.
2.Acquisition of the technology to design, build and test cold-start space carrier-engine. 3.Acquisition of the technology to design and launch a national cyber defense.
4. Comprehensive plan to develop the needed technologies to equip and update the radar systems of Iran's air defense system.
5.A plan to develop the country's encoding science and technology.

Also, a plan to develop technologies to build 100- to 150-seat passenger planes.


MY Comment and concerns:

1st totally agree with the Subsurface, Air Defense & Cyber infrastructure & security.

However, developing cold start PBV engines does NOT need to be categorized as a major national project & encoding should have fallen under the software section of Cyber security
& instead Rohani should have prioritized BM's Fateh series of missiles for solid fuel & MIRV for liquid fueled missiles and mass production of Unmanned systems from UAV, UCAV, UGV,....
