Iranian Nuclear Technology and Industry (technical only... non-political)

@QWECXZ ,@jauk ..Gents...my point of putting the Pak Reactors was just to demonstrate the viability of the Iran's original Nuclear industry goals.. which was..an "Industrial scale fuel production"..if not pakistan well many others in the area need the fuel..so It is something that when all this JCPOA filth is over and Iran's file goes back to "normal" the country should go back to....Iran can be a Hub for all type fuels....World needs more and more fuel and Iran can be the "one stop shopping" for all types..:undecided:
From what I see, the JCPOA might be extended beyond 2025 if our negotiators continue to be like this. The parliament is not really happy about the negotiations, it seems.

@aryobarzan--my dear brother, I respectively disagree which we can discuss why elsewhere. Broadly, Iranians shouldn't be in the business of digging ditches (oil, copper, gas, uranium, etc.) for export. Sure for adding value but not for export. This is as base as it gets and we've been ditch diggers for a century already.

President Raisi promised to clean up the security services from foreign agents..seems like his efforts are paying off:

Iran creates "Nuclear security HQ"

Good to see.
But you`re right, this should`ve been done literally years ago,as the nuclear program was always going to be right at the very top of the list of the wests sabotage targets in the mena region.

I like to ask your opinion on this:
The "Farsi" translation of this new "HQ" calls it as the
"Nuclear Command Corp".. after some thoughts It appears to me that the function of this "Command" will be more than just providing "security" for nuclear installations.... you know where I am going with this..:undecided::undecided:

Yes,indeed I do.....
That title does sound rather a tad on the military side, doesnt it?,especially for something thats supposed to just oversee the security of what is ostensibly a civilian nuclear program.

«فرماندهی سپاه هسته‌ای

Sounds a bit awkward in Persian. Not sure what “Nuclear Corps Command” means.

Maybe فرماندهی هسته‌ای سپاه would’ve been better. I wonder if the original author is Iranian come to think of it.

Iran nuclear chief: Tehran to unveil new atomic achievements soon

The director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has said the country will unveil 9 new nuclear achievements on April 9, which marks the National Day of Nuclear Energy in the Islamic Republic.

Iran devises strategy for industrialized nuclear program

TEHRAN – In the latest sign of Iran’s determination to advance its nuclear program, the Ebrahim Raisi administration announced that it will soon unveil a comprehensive document for boosting the country’s nuclear development.
The announcement was first made by Ali Bahadori Jahromi, the spokesman for the Raisi administration, on Tuesday and then the chief nuclear official of Iran provided more details on the nature of the document in question.
Bahadori Jahromi said, “the Comprehensive Strategic Document for Nuclear Development” will be unveiled by President Raisi on Saturday.
Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, the spokesman said, “The comprehensive strategic document for the development of the country's nuclear power will be unveiled on the 20th of Farvardin (April 9) in a ceremony hosted by the Atomic Energy Organization and attended by the president.”
Bahador Jahromi stopped short of giving any further details about the document. But Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), who is responsible for preparing the document, said it thoroughly addressed the status of the AEOI and the nuclear policy of the country.
“We tried to prepare a comprehensive document for the development of the organization by forming working groups consisting of all relevant and motivated people,” Eslami said of the document, according to Fars News.
The chief nuclear official added, “This document has passed the legal approval process and fortunately, in the first working days of 1401 [the Iranian new calendar year], we have a comprehensive document for this organization, and God willing, it will be unveiled on April 9, by the president.”
According to Eslami, the document includes all aspects of nuclear technology, the industrialization of Iran in various sectors, the Leader’s recommendations, and the spheres that have not been addressed yet.
Eslami pointed out that, according to the document, qualitative and quantitative targets have been set for the processes of the nuclear fuel cycle. As regards nuclear power, the document sets the stage for the construction of power plants with a production capacity of up to 10,000 MW.
The head of the AEOI also revealed that his organization is in the process of building a 360 MW power plant in Darokhovein in Khuzestan. This plant, Eslami said, will be constructed by Iranians only.
The new document, which amounts to a nuclear doctrine, comes at a time when negotiations in Vienna over reviving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), have come to a standstill due to the Biden administration’s unwillingness to make political decisions regarding the talks.
It is indicative of Iran’s determination to expand its nuclear infrastructure and knowledge by relying on domestic capabilities. Iran has been trying to maintain and advance its nuclear program in the face of Western pressures.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has recently shone a light on why Iran kept its nuclear program despite pressures.
In a speech delivered on March 10, 2022, the Leader said, “I could equally mention the suggestion to forego our scientific progress. Some people say, ‘You must forget about the nuclear issue because it has led to so much sensitivity and has created many problems.’ Well, the nuclear issue is of a scientific nature.”
He added, “It concerns our scientific and technological progress in the future. We will shortly – not far in the future – be needing the products of our nuclear energy. We will completely need it. Then, whom should we refer to? When must we begin the process to achieve it? Therefore, going without these things and showing negligence towards them is not correct.”

The proposal for a 360mw indigenous reactor to be constructed at darkhovin is the most interesting,as the original plan for this, dating back to the late 2000s was to build a reactor based on the arak ir-40 heavy water design, tho under the jcpoa iran isnt supposed to build any heavy water reactors for 15 years,so this might limit iran to light water or possibly gas cooled designs.Though by the time the reactor would be expected to come on line,ie after 2030,the 15 year time period would have expired, though of course if the west does not return to the deal then its a moot point.
I get the feeling that this could well be irans post jcpoa nuclear plan,as a return to the deal does start to look increasingly unlikely.
I`ll look forward to the publishing of the entire document.

Iran to construct indigenous 360MW commercial Nuclear Reactor

Nuclear fuel rods displayed today: Those are Iranian made Zirconium tubes that hold enriched Uranium balls and go to the heart of any nuclear reactor... Zirconium metal is very hard to produce.

Note: The name "zirconium" is taken from the name of the mineral Zircon..The word is related to Persian name "Zargun" meaning gold-like.o_O

Iran’s Natanz Tunnel Complex: Deeper, Larger than Expected

The new very deep under the mountain facility built in NATAZ is so large that can accomodate Iran's new Centrifuge assembly plant in addition to an advanced enrichment plant populated with IR-6 machines... a three entrance tunnel system complex.

Iran begins manufacturing centrifuges at Natanz facility

April 15, 2022 - 13:53

TEHRAN – Iran has moved the equipment needed for manufacturing centrifuge machines from a site in Karaj to the Natanz nuclear facility with the aim of resuming centrifuge production there.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announced the production of centrifuge parts in a new workshop at the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan complex in Natanz, after the equipment was transferred from the Karaj Industrial Complex.
Nour News, a website close to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said the monitoring activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will not change in the new site, meaning that the data recorded by the Agency cameras will not be handed over to it.
According to Nour News, this important and strategic move can be considered a decisive step in increasing the protection and security of Iran's nuclear facilities and related industries.
The sabotage acts during the past few years, for which Israel is implicitly responsible, have caused damage to Iran's nuclear facilities in light of the silence of the IAEA and its lack of concern for the need to play a responsible role in protecting the peaceful nuclear activities of countries.
The initiative of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran was a clear translation of the strategy announced by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in emphasizing not to link activities and projects in the country to negotiations with external parties, Al Alam reported.
The move also came amid a pause in the talks in Vienna over lifting sanctions on Iran and reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
With major pending issues remaining unresolved, the talks in Vienna over the nuclear deal seem to be put on hold until mediators succeed in convincing the United States that it’s high time for making political decisions. According to a senior Iranian lawmaker who has just been briefed by Iran’s chief negotiator, Iran is making everything in its power to honestly push the talks forward and it is in the negotiations with the intention of reaching an agreement.
The lawmaker, Jalil Rahimi Jahan Abadi, said despite Iran’s cooperation, the other side continues to act in bad faith. The Western side does not cooperate in most matters and their behavior is dishonest, Jahan Abadi told Iran’s state news IRNA on Wednesday.
