well , that's 8 cell now depend on the size of missile each cell can carry 1 missile or 4 missile. we must see if when that ship become operational how much we manage to make our missile more compact

Who would put 4 missile in a single cell? Mk-41 only does 2

4 missiles.....One misfire or sabotage and the entire ship blows apart.

You conveniently leave out the fact that Mk-57 is testing phases and only on 1 class of US warship—Zumwalt—a ~5B dollar ship

the 5b $ probably have nothing to do with the MK-57 and have to do with other subsystem
by the way French Sylver that date back to 2001 also can quad pack missiles in each cell and china GJB 5860-2006 can also carry 4 missile in some of its cell

can be used for that role , but it was not even successful against ww2 airplanes . that fajr cannon have more chance hitting incoming missile than Bofors, its waste of space , they must change it wit something like kamand . if not and its heavy then 10 to 12 missile like mithaq-3 that is used in majid Air defense is even more useful

it even latter was not successful even after those upgrades , its far better for it to ripped of and replaced by something like c-ram or kamand or as i said the space used for cluster of some shortrange air defense like Majid

GJB 5860-2006 is installed on 7,500 ton destroyer. This is my point. Do you see a common engineering theme? These 4 missile cell are suited for big destroyers.

e is related to how much cell you can put there , they come in package of 4 , now you can put 8 cell , you can put 96cell , depend on how big your ship is
