Iranian Ground Forces | News and Equipment

We need air superiority. We need to intercept enemy aircrafts from the air. We can’t just rely on SAM. Imagine the outcome of our war with Iraq without our Tomcats! We also need more ground support aircraft and choppers. How many tanks and vehicles similar to humvees do we currently have that are not outdated?

I don't think you can replace artillery with something like the switchblade. You gotta consider Artillery to me used on larger scale conflicts while a switch blade would be more tactical level, while artillery would be used on a strategic level for large brigade level offensives.

Something like switchblade is to replace mortars not Artillery! And swarm UAV's and Cheep cruise missiles will replace most of the workload of artillery systems

Keeping in mind the Switchblade is powered by an electric prop engine and even that costs $70,000 each...

U.S. prices are absurd! When a Javelin costs $246,000 & a MQ-1C System $30Million USD what do you expect?

A 23lb projectile for their electromagnetic rail gun costs $25,000 USD and they thing that's cheep! LOL!

So US military products are irrelevant when it comes to Iran!

Rather than spending money on new Artillery systems they should be perfecting & mass producing these to mass produce in large numbers to replace artillery systems with various under 100lbf single compressor, single turbine low lifespan low cost turbojet engines, Pulse Jet engines & BLDC motor's of various sizes!
3D printing & Composites allow for easy mass production of the Airframe! cheap Precision cutting equipment & modern casting allow for mass production! Labor is comparatively cheep in Iran.......

I know its just a maintenance center but its really disappointing that the media is parading this old junk as if it was top level. Just T-72's and M-60's really. It's such a shame we have such a uninformed populace about this kind of stuff. If people knew any better, they would not dare show this. The average people will see this and think we are a great land power, when in reality we are far behind.
