That was the mistake of this forum. To put Azeri section in this subforum. Azerbaijan is an independent country with their seperated nationality.

I think initially azerbaijan was going towards iran. Being near to shias it was a natural path but azeris are secular and iran wanted to spread its extremist itna ashari. They also realized iran cannot do much for them so they went away from iran.

Nope. If we continued it then Qarabaq was free as of today. They preferred Turkey and Turkey made a deal over Qarabaq.

wrong - turkey got pressed into this qarabaq issue, cause turkey had a lot of problems in the 90s (PKK) - Greece, Syria, etc... Russia sided with Armenia, the western allies, with their big Armenian diaspora, did nothing more than selling turkey ... you Iranian won't do shit for AZ unless we can be assimilated and incorporated

Turkey didn't give a shit about Qarabaq. I will never oppose their role in helping Qarabaq problem but the problem is, there is no Turkish role in Qarabaq fight, on the other hand there are rumors which you wouldnt like to hear about.

I haven't seen any news insulting Iran, so if you can post it I'd appreciate it.

Turkeys stance imo is that Iran is a neighbor and we have many common interests. Unfortunately rivalry does get in the way of common interests.

Regarding Syria, we may have common interests there, but we have different approaches. Turkey prioritizes having a secure zone so Syrians in Turkey can be relocated in that safe zone.

IMO Iran and Assad should understand this, and reach an agreement with Turkey where Syrias government restarts administration and such. And this would include law enforcements (soft enforecement, ppl have been through civil war, so no hard crack downs).

So if the above can be done, Assad and Iran should focus on SDF/PYD/YPG/PKK and retake oilfields.

Just my opinion.
