I know though tehran university is associated with almost every field unlike sharif,which is more of an engineering university.

Dude, I don't know what's your level of education, but somehow I am kinda disappointed, investigations on university rankings are almost done in per student forms or hence you would never saw MIT on the top of all the rankings.

Some of their degrees are fake/blurred, starting with their president himself and some others have been graduated from low quality universities like Zarif. basically, only 3 of them have been studied in decent universities, and two of these three persons could not finish their doctorates. The only one remaining is the nuke guy, who is not a minister.

Anyway, some of them are smart people who know how to play their role and screw others to achieve money and power. They don't care if it's Islamic Republic, or a monarchy, or anything else. They would want to and will reach to high posts.

Anyway, when I compare Iran with USA, UK, Russia, ... I see that Iran is in a serious need for smart people who have been graduated from world known universities. Just being smart is not enough, what you learn in west and among their elites, is not something that you can achieve without being in such circles, and what one learns is not just about the science or technology. Basically, there is such a lack of expert smart people that such person can easily distinguish himself in that society. Though, Iran's problem is that such persons do not want to go to Iran for obvious reasons.

Anyway, as a side note, the topic is obviously wrong, since US herself, and some other countries in Americas and else where, have more US graduates.

Bro, I want to share some funny story that happened in our university. Some undergraduate student from University of Tehran applied to our school, and mentioned something like "I have been graduated from the best university of Iran, University of Tehran". Well, we have some professors who know Iran, and his SOP became the joke of our department for a couple of months Sometimes, when we, not only Iranians, want to mock someone for boasting, we say that it's like that guy from that university ...
Bro, Your university is already good in Iran, and it's just not the best one but it is the second good one. So, my sincere suggestion to you is not trying to say otherwise
