Iran wants Pakistan to revive gas pipeline project

.
Pakistan hasnt been paying for its electricity imports from Iran.... where are they gonna get money to pay for gas?

Never deal with poor people is the first rule of business.
Exactly, why on earth would iran want to even bother with this dead end deal now?,it has no economic value to iran, indeed the only reason iran even agreed to continue the project after india dropped out was for purely political reasons which dont really exist any longer.I mean for christ sake the pakistanis didnt even start building their section of the pipeline,it was literally just one excuse after another ie we dont have the money,no one will work with us,blah, blah, blah etc...but of course the real reason was simply not wanting to alienate their us and saudi overlords, altho another possibility was that they were simply hoping that the iranians in desperation would pay for the whole thing and that pakistan would basically get the pipeline for free.

.
Pakistan had asked Iran to fund and build the pipeline on the Pakistani side as due to sanctions on Iran, Pakistan could not secure the funds for itself to build the pipeline.

The same condition is still there today. If Iran can and is willing to fund and build the pipeline on the Pakistani side, fine. Iran will be able to recover all the costs from the gas it sells to Pakistan Insha'Allah.

So, up to Iran.

Pakistan won't be chasing Iran for this $1.5 billion project again as its way too busy with the $64 billion CPEC project.

.
Iran is always on the rise and we have to get the hands of our Pakistani brothers we will find a way to do this deal. In Islam, nothing is more important than paying attention to your neighbor.

The problem is not that simple.

Anyone who has studied Urdu, can read and understand about 70% + Farsi and vice versa.

There is a land route connection, yet the amount of travel and exchange and trade is very minimum.

This is an unnatural situation, which implies that there are some unnatural things causing these.

Grow up goof, we have a lot of eggs in a lot of baskets unlike Iran.....

So in other words you want iran to Build-Own-Operate the iran-pak gas pipeline, you want iran to supply all the equipment, the money,oh and of course build the fu#king thing aannnd....maybe in thirty years it might all be payed for...possibly,right?.

Tell you what why dont you ask your new besties the chinese for the money, after all I`m sure they can afford it no worries, indeed last time I heard about this deal pak said the chinese were going to pay for it,guess they thought better of it for some reason huh?.

.
That would be a win win for both countries. This should be revived and executed asap.

.
Why shouldn't we do business with the Iranians? western companies are doing it. We need energy, sold at the right price and if Iran can facilitate our requirements, so be it.

You're quite wrong, we just found a mucher cheaper alternative from Qatar.

.
i think GAS imports from Iran(using pipe line) will be cheaper than from Qatar (using sea route).

.
It all comes down to Price then supply. Iran wins the supply battle as it is a neighbour! Price is where the issue is we have no idea how much Qatar's LNG will cost because current PM is in trouble due to it. Iran's Gas was negotiated by zardari to fill his coffers.

.
Very Good. Pakistan, Iran and Turkey should join hands and increase brotherhood. The enemies do not want this and creating doubts. Iran should also look after Pakistan concern of playing in the hands of Indian and same as Pakistan should not allow its land to be used by Saudis against Iran..
