Iran vs. Saudi Arabia

I think we need to accept that we can argue about Iran Pakistan and Turkey each of which have a significant population but the Arab countries no offence to Arabs seem to be smaller in population and not really battle hardened. After all Iraq could not bend Iran with all its resources which the west and Arabs were supporting

Comparing with every other country in the Middle east, I can see Iran to be overwhelmingly superior to all of them, except maybe Israel.

Only Egypt comes somewhat close to Iran. Otherwise, Iran is overwhelmingly superior to every Arab country in the whole middle east.

I'm not saying this because of prejudice. But facts are facts. Maybe Saudis are modernizing by importing western hardwares which will take 5-10 years (dont forget Iran is modernizing too, at rapid pace). But at present, they are nobody in front of Iran.

The way Arab members were threatening to destroy Iran in the forum, I got the impression that Arab militaries must be superior to Iran at the moment in terms of hardwares, maybe they are just lacking training. What a surprise I got when I compared them!:woot:

"Battles are not won by numbers" they can have millions of soldiers but they will still be defeated if you take into account the air superiority that is overwhelmingly on our side.

Not a single war since WW2 won without air superiority. All their artillery and millions of soldiers will perish in front of our massively better Air Force. Gulf War should serve as a reminder of this fact there is a snow ball chance in hell for Iran's victory.

Oh not to mention the Arab Israeli wars as well.

All this talk of war reminds me of a Latin adage "Si vis pacem, para bellum"; it means "if you desire peace, prepare for war". To me it could mean 3 things; the first meaning being that a nation should work hard to achieve technological, economic, & military superiority over her enemies. This would result in peace for that nation, all her enemies shall bow before her.

The second meaning of this adage in my opinion is to utterly destroy your enemies thereby as a result of the enemies’ destruction there would be peace. The 3rd meaning of this adage is to fool or deceive your enemies in to thinking that you desire nothing besides peace while secretly preparing for war.

I hope all nations especially Muslim majority nations learn something from this.

Let me make this big misconception clear.

What are fighter planes?

Answer: They are not some magical things which wins war for you, they are merely delivery systems for missiles and bombs. From F 35s, to B 52s to Saudi F 15s and Eurofighter Typhoons, they are merely delivery systems for weapons.

Right? Missiles and bombs? Only advantage of aircrafts are that they are re-usable. They can return to their bases, refuel, and reload with missiles, again go on a mission. This is their only advantage.

Iran has a vast arsenal of ballistic missiles which will serve the same purpose? Delivery of missiles and bombs? In fact, within 10 mins, with their ballistic missiles, Iran can destroy all Saudi oil refineries, airports and seaports, making Saudi air force, army, navy completely crippled. Let alone using your air force, Saudi would literally be begging for mercy that Iran doesn't sieze Saudi's airplanes and oilfields with ground forces, when that happens.

Did Egypt have vast array of ballistic missiles in 1967 and 73? No? Did Iraq have them? No? Iran has them. Also, not like Iran doesn't have air force? They do, they have advanced SAM systems which are very much capable of defending their airspace.

I would never want an war between the two, but a fair comparison must be done. Not threatening to "destroy" each other as many do.

A few Arab fan boys on here do not represent the great Arab people

That was a well deserved victory and I congratulate the Saudi fans on that one. You can't ask for better when you play like well fed lazy bums.

But if I'm not mistaken, the conversation was about the reproductive habits of Cephalopods in the Marianas trench.

From the first missile fired their locations will show up on Saudi ground radars. Then a SEAD mission with storm shadows and AASM and pave ways and GBUs followed by complete neutralization of Missile threat in the first hours then Iranian ground forces are open game.

I have read extinsenvly regarding this subject and I know what I am saying.

Why Arabs under Saddam guidance could not defeat Iran

If missiles are the only thing it takes to win a war then Nations around the world would only concentrate on missiles instead of Air Forces. It is that simple

Brother, please don't compare yourself with the US. I don't know if you were around in 91. But the US & Co had to amass thousands of planes near the Iraqi border and fly an insane number sorties on a daily basis before they were able to achieve their intended results. Now, I grant you that your airforce hardware is superior to that of Iran. But you're nowhere near that level of capability and will likely never be. And I'm not even talking about pilot training, morale and military doctrine.

All this talk of war is just childish. It will be a disaster for EVERYBODY in the region. We'd better learn to talk to each other.

Iran had the best air force in the region. And their AirForce played the lion's share of their military operations. Thing is it is not the best anymore even UAE's AirForce alone is much more superior to Iran's so think what collective GCC AirForce will do. Again it is as simple as that.

Not to de-moralize you, I have also studied the subject. And trust me, Saudi Arabia won't have a chance when that happens. Iranian missiles are silo launched, stored underground, well dispersed.

Again, we must face reality. Lets not live in fantasy-world.
