Iran says Khan gave us the tech

I can't believe it. Khan gave them the technology how to build them, now they have submitted the information to UN inspectors. Although they would still have the copies of it, and will surely use it in the future.

But they have betrayed us!

Should now Iran consider as a friend! :ranting:

Whatever our response will be, we should not forget that Iran is our neighbor and an Islamic country.
We need them for our future energy supply, so healthy relationship is all we want!

We didn't turn the back. We did what we thought was right. It's never black and white buddy. Do you really want a nuclear Iran?
Politics is always selfserving, national interrest comes first!
Pakistan doesn't want a nuclear Iran as the regime is rogue, a threat to regional and global security.

And they say Iran needed nuclear technology for energy production. Now that is the biggest load of BS because Iran is sitting on top for one of the largest oil reserves in the world. That is sufficient not only for Iran but 1/4th's of the wrold. I ask you again, does Pakistan want a nuclear Iran?
With all respect, I think you don't have a valid point here.
Russia has huge oil and gas deposits, so do US and UK and some other countries.
Nothing stopped them from building a huge network of NPP's.
Iran or any other country with large energy deposits should have the right to diversify their energy supply, specially the ones who are signatory to NPT.

I wouldn't say that relations are as good as they used to be.
Iran's quite upset and feels betrayed by recent Indian support to US about Irans nuclear program.
Next few weeks will be very interesting to follow as India is again expected to vote against Iran, a thing they hate to do as it has already angerd the opposition.
But India has chosen to a difefrent path and sides with Uncle who seems to expecting early return from this new friend.

Pakistan should take full advantage here and get Iran back where it belongs...
Its our backyard :)
No offence btw :eyebrow:

They don't say they got it from him personally. They say they got it from Pakistan that's all. Plus the method of enrichment is no secret to the officials, sure it could have given a bit of insight into our capabilities, but overall its mostly a standard procedure that AQ Khan probably used because he didn't invent a new way of enriching it. Iran had no choice its a signatory to the nuclear no proliferation act, total transparency is and obligation. Do you get it now? I know this is an old thread but some people still believe tis and it had to be settled.

Khan never did something that the Pakistan Military leadership never knew. They knew everything and they earned a lot of money with the transfere of nucleaire technology. Khan was just an escape goat.

why would iran disclose such information..what kind of stupidity is this...?? i am convienced about Iran being hijacked by zionist undercover!

Surprise, Surprise. Would any one expected this closely held secret will be out someday?

I can't believe it. Khan gave them the technology how to build them, now they have submitted the information to UN inspectors. Although they would still have the copies of it, and will surely use it in the future.

It is a very biased article and not mention some five years old. Iran only stated it received aid and I don't see where Iran has mentioned the name of any specific individual. So apart from other things, the thread title is misleading. Furthermore, it was the Pakistani scientist himself who stated his role and not Iran.

I don't see what difference it makes if Iran releases an enrichment report or not given it openly states doing so and states it will not retract from the act. Rather then being 'stupid,' I think it gives credence to their own claims. As for the last bit, the new rumor is that Khamenei is secretly an undercover Russian working for the GRU-- You'd have to update yourself.

Even though the thread is 5 years old, it is an ongoing issue.

Nuclear weapons using uranium are MUCH easier to produce than those using plutonium, as the nuke can be a simple "gun" structure, not an implosion weapon. The drawback is low efficiency, bulk, and weight.
