IRAN: Saudi Arabia Is Making A 'Serious Mistake

.
I think the price is very fair. I love how cheap i can fill my car to the max and save money. I hope it stays on this low level a long time.

I filled my tank up, never know when it will suddenly go up again. Might as well take advantage.:D

.
I see this as being beneficial in the long run for Iran, as we will be forced to diversify the economy and move away from oil-dependent economy.
Yes, this will be very painful at first, but Iranians are good at adapting to harsh economic enviroment and looking for solutions. Afterall Iran has been absorbing Western imposed sanctions for more than 35 years, and we are still standing as one of the most stable countries in the ME (albeit with a bad economy which is way under its potential)
Low oil prices and not having much of a share left in the oil-exporting community, provides us with the right stimulus to change and diversify the economy, as it forces Iran to look for other sources for revenue.
Abundance of oil is a curse, because it makes you lazy and then ultimately it makes you totally dependent.
Like I said, its going to be a painful process and may wreck the economy further in the short term, but what does not kill you makes you stronger, as they say. :)

See this is why its so vital for Iran to develop their nuclear industry, along with other industries.

Tell me why i would profit from higher oil prices? The price now is perfect for us european consumers. I love it. The money i safe can i use for other things. Its good for europe.

Cheaper OIL Price is good for 90% of the world I guess, it is probably just bad for those countries that produce it because they are so darned dependent on freebies, because of their luck that they sit on all that oil, that they do not want to work ever........they want to sit back, relax and enjoy the riches of the world by drilling oil.

P.S. we are all loving the lower prices, it is awesome. This is probably the real world cost of OIL which was always massively exaggerated by OPEC and other Oil producing countries, for apparent reasons.

If they snapped their fingers and had a fully-functional nuclear industry right now...what would change?

Nuclear industry was just one example. These things dont happen or change overnight.
The point is that its important to develop all industries.

But other things need to change as well. Like seriously dealing with and tackling the corruption, that not only exist in IRI but was also prevalent in the era of the Shah.

But my main point is that the new situation with low oil prices and Iran's share being cut in export market, is an opportunity and a necessary stimulus, albeit a painful one (in short-medium term)

I fill up my tank twice a week so price fluctuations effect me. Its not a fridge that you buy cheap and then can use it for a years.

You can only open world market if you finally become our partner. Iran should drop its hostility against us and join us. I would love to visit your country. Many europeans would. I´m good at snowboarding and heared you have cool ressorts there. My girl is interested in art and stuff so it would be perfect mix.

Perhaps it would be wiser to move closer to work. I mean travelling roughly 500 miles every week must be shattering.

Without dropping your nuclear program those things are not going to happen. Last 35 years have proven Iran doesn't have an economy other than selling oil and gas. The reason is even if you are smart enough to have another industry. Nobody would want to do business with you because of the sanctions. I see Iran developing other industries if they give up their nuclear program AND stop their sectarian foreign policies. It could happen if mullahs get the booth and Azeri take the lead in Iran. I see huge potentials. Probably when further dropping of oil prices continues. We might see a counter revolution sparking in Iran. In the aftermath Iran will become more liberal and open up to the world.

I dont mind Iran cooperating with West, but obviously you cant expect it to be a master-puppet relationship, like in the Shah era. Those days are simply long gone. It will have to be partnership based on mutual respect and mutual interests.

Imo it does not matter to me which etnhicity is in charge (whether Azari, Persian, Lur or whatever) because we are all Iranians.
We have a right to nuclear energy and we will not cede our sovereign rights.

The Chinese are just fapping over the low oil prices, they will do anything to keep the price low.

Also, why are oil exporting nations bound to this price?
The rest of the oil exporting nations should just increase their prices to whatever they want. It's their oil.
Saudi arabia oil reserves, which is by they way overstated by 40% according to wikileaks:
Wikileaks Cables: Saudi Arabia Oil Reserves Overstated - Our World

Anyway how, the saudis can sell their oil for dirt cheap prices, other nations should have whatever price they want, don't let political nonsense determine the price. The likes of China can go buy from the Saudis but we'll see if the saudis can provide all the markets demand.

Azaris are the already leading Iran tork.
Iranian leader khamenei is an Azari.

Anymore more brainfarts?

We have $4 trillion in currency reserves, anyone who wants to sell to us can do so.

We have multiple pipelines to Central Asia, we are building more to Russia, we buy huge amounts from Malaysia, Venezuela, Canada, Africa, etc.

There is an oversupply of oil in the market right now, that's why prices are falling.

The rest of the oil exporting nations should just increase their prices to whatever they want. It's their oil.

It's not that easy. Anyone who increases their prices will lose market share, as customers in Asia and Europe will switch to the cheaper option. There is no reason to pay extra for oil when there are a hundred other places that will sell it cheaply.

As long as the Saudis and OPEC refuse to cut output, oil prices will continue to fall.

Anyone who raises their prices will simply be handing their market share to Saudi.

Saudi Arabia is just one of the major oil suppliers.

As I stated, you think the Saudis themselves can fill the market share? They're already supplying at the peak of their limit.
If the rest of the exporting nations take matter into their own hands then this political price will end.

Also hundreds of other places my a$$. There are only very few countries with the reserves /capability to be considered stable suppliers. Who else will fill the market? No other nation in their right mind will sell oil at such low price.
