Iran Mercantile Exchange traded 526,000 tons of commodities worth more than $223 million in spot and secondary market during the week to July 29, showing a growth of 77 and 65 percent in volume and value respectively.

According to IME, during this week, the agricultural trading floor transacted 4,200 tons of sugar, 2,000 tons of maize, IRNA reported.

In the IME's domestic and export metals and minerals trading floor, products weighing 250,929 MT worth more than $90 million were traded.

In this trading floor, 131,972 tons of steel products, 110,000 tons iron ore, 4,245 tons of copper, 100 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 4,600 tons of aluminum were traded by customers.

Also, in the domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floor, 268,909 tons of commodities valued at $130 million were sold.

More than 121,000 tons of bitumen, 43,000 tons of polymer products, 14,000 tons of chemical products, 300,000 tons of insulation material, 2,030 tons of sulfur and 10,000 tons of argon were traded in this floor.
