Iran launches research satellite into space

That would be great if we know about Australia space rockets and satellites ..

Space technology is no big deal for Australia. We can develop it tomorrow with little effort if we wanted to. We have tech and choose not to develop.

Future is space and you decide not to domestically develop it? Not wise

Well I mean Australia is basically an English satellite country, you guys don’t even have independent foreign policy from Europe...so why does it matter in grand scheme of things.

This guy pretends there were no space launches under Rouhani...

Not that there were no space launches, just that:

1) The budget of the national space agency was reduced to insignificant levels under Rohani.
2) Launches halved in frequency.
3) The manned space program practically stopped or at least was very much put the brakes on.

It stands to reason that the five succesful launches which took place over eight years of Rohani administration resulted from the latter simply not being able to have its way and completely shutting down the program.

Another Jew talking nonsense. Give credible evidence for your claims, not zionist or American ones.

"For a payload to enter orbit, it needs to reach speeds above 7,600 (metres per second). We reached 7,350," the spokesman, Ahmad Hosseini, said in a documentary about the launch vehicle broadcast on state TV and posted online.

8 launches, not 6.

Manned program is pointless without suitable reentry material and rocket.

Increase in budget for space program means something has to be sacrificed.

Will regular military and or IRGC accept budget cuts for themselves to fund space program?

8 launches, not 6.

My sources are these:

They list the following launching activities during the Rohani years:

- 2015, Feb. 02 -- Fajr was successfully launched and placed into orbit on 2 February 2015.
- 2016, Apr. 21 -- Russian Ministry of Defence has told that suborbital launch of unknown ballistic missile has been occured at 09:33 UTC on April 19th and, according to preliminary data, was successfull. The burned out rocket impacted in the southern part of Iran. Two radars, in Armavir and in Orsk (Russia), have the launch registered.
- 2017, Jul. 27 -- Iranian semi-official media are reporting that Iran has successfully launched the Simorgh rocket.
- 2019, Feb. 06 -- Sardar Taghizadeh, Deputy Minister of Defense, said: "Yesterday evening the Satellite Doosti being placed into space successfully on board of a Safir SLV rocket."
- 2019, Aug. 29 -- It is unbelievable, satellite imagery from this day shows that Iran's latest launch attempt has again ended in a dramatic failure on the Semnan launch site.
- 2020, Feb. 09 -- Iran space agency official says the rocket was launched on 19:18 (local time) successfully and could reach 541 km altitude.

In addition to the Apr. 22, 2020 Qased launch, that we shouldn't count considering it was entirely done by the IRGC, which probably didn't even inform the cabinet.

So that would be six launches, but really five given how the Aug. 29, 2019 one ended with an explosion on the launch pad. Seven if you want to count the launch that didn't happen and the IRGC's effort which the Rohani administration played no part in. Versus about ten during Ahmadinejad's tenure.

Manned program is pointless without suitable reentry material and rocket.

Well that's why you fund it in order to work towards acquiring these elements.

Increase in budget for space program means something has to be sacrificed.

And what does decrease in budget mean? Because that's what the Rohani administration did.

Even their own Defence Minister didn't seem all too happy with it when on August 23, 2015 he declared that the space program was slowed due to budgetary limitations "and nothing else".

Australia ? LOL Australia can't build anything on its own, especially space related technology. Australia doesn't even have an independent foreign policy. Used to blindly follow Britain and now daddy America. The US president doesn't even bother to remember your prime ministers name. He just calls him "that guy down under" LOL

Only 11 nations can put satellites into space, probably less than that without any foreign assistance. Australia used to be a penal colony. The British would send heinous criminals including molesters, killers, thieves there and eventually they founded a country after committing mass genocide against the indigenous population. That's the history of Australia to sum it up.

Space X have had countless failures. Recently 4 of their launches in a row failed for one of their platforms. How many times did North Korea fail in the past ? They were a laughing stock in the west for a while. Nobody is laughing now. Rocket science is not easy to master but as long as Iran keeps trying, they will succeed.

SpaceX failures? You mean the totally experimental Starship with a revolutionary, never been done before vertical landing capability and absolutely massive size that crashed in *tests* designed to gather data on the landing (Which isn't simple, it's pretty much flipping vertically) not with satellites on board?

As opposed to Iranian missions with satellites on board that failed.
