Unity in the world in general and among Muslims in particular is visibly difficult because of diverse ethnicity, sects and socioeconomic thought patterns around which political systems have fragmented the populace on globe. That universal effect has aggravated the Islamic ideology to divide along hard-liners, commoners, moderates and westernized thinkers.

Politicians and ruling elite are basically corrupt and dishonest. Despite Islamic teachings, they do not follow Islam in true spirit. Personal gains at forefront, these people want common lot to remain divided as unity is totally against their interests.

External forces manipulate these notorious groups to their advantage and the agenda further makes it difficult to coalesce. Although Islamic unity would bring a win-win situation at global level (will help clarity and remove ambiguities in foreign relationships), yet the stake-holders and global politics would not let it happen.

Muslim states are thus far behind in assessing and analyzing ability and rely on western inputs to trundle along the global policies.
