Iran expresses concern over Kashmir crackdown

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has expressed concern over the crackdown in Indian-administered Kashmir, in which a number of Muslims have been killed.

Cracking down on the protests will only increase Muslims’ anger, Mehmanparast said on Saturday.

Thousands of people staged massive demonstrations in several districts of Kashmir on Thursday to voice their anger over the desecration of the Quran in the United States.

Fourteen Kashmiri Muslims and an Indian police officer were killed during the protests.

tehran times : Iran expresses concern over Kashmir crackdown

Hahaha the Iran government is concerned about the crackdown in Kashmir? What about in Iran at the last elections where the election was rigged and thousands of peaceful protesters were shot and arrested.

lol hypocrites.

Just as you're concerned about the crackdown in Tehran but totally oblivious of the crackdown in Kashmir! So, why don't you just **** off!

It is unfortunate that people took to violent protest on the streets and many got killed in the process. But Iran does not need to be worried. We are not stoning people to death or publicly hanging people on the streets here......

Don't get concerned. Iran has their own compulsions and showing concern is hardly a diplomatic problem.

As long as Iran supports us where it really matters, why worry?

everyone is concerned about others..what a peaceful society flourishing with spirit of brotherhood.

Just for curiosity..did u shout when Iran was cracking down?

Separatists movements can't be tolerated, if the protests are peaceful thats one thing but when protesters go violent then law has to take actions against them, so Iran doesn't need to worry about Indian affairs, rather worry what the Americans next move would be.

.
ho..ho.. now we can say that 'kashmir cause is successfully internationalised'.
useless thread.. what iran says, makes no difference as they themselves are a big pain in the back side of countries which matter internationally.

.
The Indian police officer killed was also a Kashmiri muslim btw.

Interesting how Iran choose to link the issue with anti-US protests and the Quran burning which ofcourse people has legitimate reason for people to protest about.

BUT, the pastor called of the burning, so the false reports from an Iranian TV resulted in more violence than usual as passions were high.

.
Actually the Quran was burned by some individual in NY and a lawyer in Australia but those were independent acts.

If I hear you shouting when crackdown goes on in Kashmir, of course, I will, you can take my word for it!
