Iran buys U.S. wheat again, trade set to grow

(Reuters) - Iran has purchased 60,000 tonnes of U.S. wheat, the U.S. government said on Thursday, raising the two-week tally to 180,000 tonnes, which industry sources said reopened grain trade ties between the two countries embroiled in a stand-off over Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

I don't know what's happening 'cause although we're self-sufficient in this field and we produce enough wheat Iran imports it again ,perhaps it is preparing itself for a longtime war .

Iran is stockpiling wheat and other essential things in case war happens. Just during the last month Iran did 2 million tons of wheat barter trade with India, 2 mln. tons with Pakistan, 1,5 mln. from various sources (Germany, Brazil, Russia, US, Australia, etc).

Its a smart move to be prepared.

As a matter of fact Israel can't bear a longtime war ,look at the history it's got a lot of things to say , on the other hand it appears that there will be no war btw Iran and Us , both of them are rational actors . it's a kind of "chicken strategy" to show your readiness to enter a war .
