What's new

Iran and Pakistan must work together on Yemen.

. .
From whatever posts I have read on pdf, I have not seen many Pak members support this idea, which is good.
But then what happens to NS's loyalty to KSA? or KSA's investment in PA's nuke projects? And also I heard PA and KSA's army were to conduct a joint exercise soon. (Coming from an army background I know what an exercise means, but the timing of this exercise is what makes it suspicious...am I right? )
Such articles (which I had posted on front page) is a proof of mounting pressure on Pak, I hope your country maintains its neutral stance.

You're right the majority are against it and to be honest the longer this affair takes, the less chance there is of any involvement. Nawaz plays a crafty deck of cards and will always make token gestures to show how strong his bond is with the Saudis. But even he knows this is a step too far. The exercise came and went and was just another date on the calendar.
Pakistan will inshallah maintain a neutral stand.

I think Pakistan and Turkey will engage Iran in two way diplomacy.

The Turkish leader was there speaking about an end to the crisis and how there should be talks. Pakistan has said the same thing.

.
I find President Ruhani to be a rational and reasonable individual, we ought to engage him rather than isolating him.

Nobody babies me...sis is better.

Frankly I think I should quit reading the newspapers here. I have often seen how they 're hell bent on showing my country i in poor light. But who gets the time to read other newspapers(like WSJ or guardian)??
Thats the reason I am on pdf, member's discussions here are really helpful at times.
And thanks for posting that article.

You got it right.
Most Pakistanis support only defending KSA's territorial integrity, we don't want to take any part in attacking another nation.

.
Wise people indeed .

@waz , you know that i respect you very much as a pakistani right ? you're the most fair and polite pakistani i've met online besides @haviZsultan .

what is your take on what the officials of pakistan said regarding the situation of Yemen ?

pakistan has no such power . what media said that ?
what ever power Pakistan has is not against our brother and friends . We are caught just as our two brothers are on the fight . But let me know when Israel kills a muslim he does not kill a sunni or a shia muslim , he just kills a muslim in Palestine . For God sake grow up dear muslims , where are your brains ? In this Shia Sunni conflict Syria , Iraq and now Yemen is in ruins , neither a shia nor a sunni can now live in it as it is now turned into rubbles . Grow up .

.
Why are houthis terrorist ?

Bet you cannot even pronounce their name properly

1- Syria and Iraq were attacked , in this case saudi arabia is the aggressor

2- pakistan can help anyone they like , we couldn't care less . but either choose side/ stay neutral or else quite this coward behavior .

3-make sure your beloved saudi is there to help you when you need them ;)

@chauvunist read and learn how a pakistani with free mentality posts

i am free in my thinking and that's what i post...i am tired from the hypocrisy and double standards from the likes of you...If you support a govt help massacre it's civilians and then those whose oppose that tyrant Govt then they are labelled as terrorists and wahabies and takfiries and bla bla bla but when you support insurgents against Govt like in bahrain and yemen then they are holy warriors...So please spare me from the propaganda you are brainwashed with...

.
Pakistan will not send troops to the Yemen theater but i think some troops will be sent to be deployed inside Saudi Arabia just like in the 1st Gulf War
Honestly i feel this maybe the most balanced approach
Managing Saudi expectations as well as keeping our soldiers out of harms way

.
It's better for Pakistan to firstly fight the chickens who have come back home to roost, and were supported by that dear ally of Pakistan. ;)

@waz why my reply to this obvious non-sense and anti Pakistan propaganda post got deleted..???

i guess appeasing Iranian members despite their obvious hate and down looking towards Pakistan is forum policy now

You're right this is way forward. Having a considerate neighbour on our Western border is priceless.

Sorry, I missed that one.
Forum policy is to avoid all troll wars. No one gains anything from them and it drives away members.
Thank you brother.

All Pakistanis do is think of others first when dealing with diplomatic issues.

Why doesn't anyone consider us first also?

Do what it takes to build this country and if it pisses people off then so be it. You can't keep everyone happy.

.
Pakistan's interests lies with the people of Pakistan.
Pakistan must fix its own internal mess and not interfere as we can not afford to betray either Iran nor Saudi Arabia.

.
I don't know exactly...you tell me that how is it possible...even if a common Irani like you knows this then what was that hype for ?

it was one of the Irani brother on some other thread(PDF)...I don't remember exactly

Yeah there was an Iranian saying that Pakistani subs are threatening Iran lmao. @haman10
I forget who it was I think some new guy.

We respect pakistani people ...

bs.........

if pakistani gov and people mind own buissnies they were not deep in mess today
from U-2 flight to WOT we have crossed the limit dozens of times .
few examples
yemen sharoora battle
U-2 flights
jordan PLO war
arab israel wars
bosnia weapons transfer
soviet afghan war
somalia 1993
gulf wars
WOT
sri lanka clean up

.
Resolving this issue by mediating the conflict on both sides won't only prevent future problems for us, but it will also increase our prestige and reputation on an international level, which I think Pakistan desperately needs right now.
