Iran accuses Saudi Arabia of hitting embassy in Yemen air strike

There are many pictures of the police there. But keep in mind that this was a consulate in Mashhad, they probably underestimated the crowd, and assumed most attention would be on their Tehran embassy. And nothing happened in Tehran embassy in the capital.

It's not a petty matter, that's why 50 people were arrested, and all the top officials in the government condemned the incident, and our President wrote a letter to the UN regarding it. They also are investigating the matter seriously, and the legal case for those arrested has been ordered to handled at top priority.

But it was still a small fire. The whole building did not burn, no one died, and no one got injured. If it happened in any other country, it would not even make the news. The only embassy attacks in other countries that makes the news is when a bomb blows up and people die.

Saudi took it too far as if it was a plan .. the fact that Iran protected the embassy by sending riot police to secure it and arrested the attackers , not to mention that all Iranian politicians have condemen it ... but again we see some people talk over here as if it was orchestrated directly by Iranian government ....

What punishment did the occupiers of the American Embassy get?

The answer to that question may give You a clue, why You get blamed for this.

All reports claim there was a considerable time before the riot police arrived.
That needs an explanation.

1979 was a different matter. It was the dawn of the revolution. When I say "revolution," I don't mean a new government, I mean a complete overhaul of the complete system. It was a new unique blend of republicism and Islam after 3000 years of monarchy. All the previous government members were exiled or in prisoner (or killed). It was such a chaotic period that the first president was impeached and the second president was assasinated.

Even at that time, the government didn't order taking over the embassy. It's interesting, the students were contemplating if they should take over the USSR embassy or the USA embassy, and at the end chose USA, by imagine the course of history if they had taken over ussr.

Anyway, even though the government didn't order it, its hands were tied. It couldn't exactly challenge the kind of revolutionaries who had just toppled the previous government. Also, keep in mind, we had two bad experience with the west putting a stop to our democratic aspirations. In early century, wenfprmed a constitutional monarchy and a strong parliament, UK backed Reza Shah and dismantled the parliament. If this did not happen, we would have had 110 of self-governance experience instead of 36 years. In the 50s, the same thing happened again. So in 1979, revolutionaries were determined to not let it happen again.

I hope this sheds some like on why it needs to be looked at it in a unique perspective
