Indian troops martyr four youth in occupied Kashmir
World urged to help in rescue, rehabilitation: Malik
Srinagar, September 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district, today.
The troops killed the youth in Tangdhar area of the district during a siege and search operation. Indian Army claimed that the youth were mujahideen and were killed in an encounter with the troops. The operation continued till last reports came in.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, addressing a big gathering at Budshah Bridge in Srinagar appealed to the world community to come to the rescue and rehabilitation mission of Kashmiri people who were hit by the devastating floods recently.
He said, according to the Geneva Convention, it is the moral duty of the international community and the important institutions of the world to play their role in saving humanity in Kashmir which is expected to suffer more after the flood water recedes. He condemned the Indian government for not allowing the Kashmiri Diaspora to send directly necessary relief items for their grief-stricken brethren in the occupied territory.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and other Hurriyet leaders including Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Bilal Ghani Lone, Zafar Akbar Butt and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash continued to visit different flood-affected areas of the territory. They reviewed the relief activities and distributed relief goods among the affectees. On the other hand, strong resentment is brewing among people in Srinagar over the puppet authorities’ failure to undertake speedy measures to drain out the flood water from the inundated localities particularly the low lying areas. The flood-hit people from Khayam area blocked traffic at Dalgate Chowk in Srinagar. Lal Chowk, Qamarwari, Maisuma, Budshah Chowk, Bemina, Sonawar, Shivpora, Indra Nagar, Saida Kadal, Jawahar Nagar, Raj Bagh, Haft Chinar, Civil Secretariat, Sithrashahi and Karan Nagar areas of the city continued to be under the flood water since 7th September.
