Inverter air conditioner vs 5 star rated routine ac

@Rain Man

Do have knowledge about ceiling and exhaust fans?

Like which brand to go..
Last I checked people told me go for Havel regular fan instead of cromptons 5 star bee rated .

Havel regular consume 60watt,
cromptons 5 consume 45, but they air throw will be lesser.

Any suggestions ?

I have two Havels, two Cromptons, one Usha, one Polar and one Orient at home...my experience with both of the Havels has been very bad, though they were the newest! :( Other fans are fine. I think Crompton is better.

Same for the exhaust fans...you can consider Bajaj if it is for bathroom...cheaper.

I bought one Havel s SB 50 model (1850rp) ceiling fan and planning to buy one crompton greaves high speed plus(1640rp)

After seeing both perforMances will decide which one to buy in bulk .

I think Havells is importing from China, check its performance for at least 2-3 years under ample use.

Ordered cromptons .

It's got smaller wings, less weight, so they could offer at lesser price.

Off the two fans, havells fan swaying movement while running seems higher .
Distributor even though he offered at lesser price, it's still 200 higher than cromptons .

Havells weigh more, have more components than cromptons .

Afaik, Crompton is the only company that uses aluminium alloy for lightweight fans. Wings cannot be smaller unless you bought a smaller fan, most common size is 1200 mm, check this ( What is the ideal ceiling fan size for a room? | Paul Lights ). The Cromptons I got have wings that are wider at the tip, but a lower model at the shop had standard wings. I sometimes use fan at low speed with the AC. :)

Wing width is lesser compared to havells , length is 1200mm only.
High speed plus is bee 5 star rated fan, I guess in mid range.

We are soon lauching 220VAC - 3 PHASE pure solar powered AC in Pakistan.
As well as 48 and 96V DC powered airconditioners in Pakistan...in Capacities of 1-2.5 and 5 Tons.

Super fans risky to buy at this time.
Remote controlled. Spares and service are all risky.

Hi,

Anyone has professional idea regarding inverter air conditioner ?

It's efficient in cooling and power saving
But people are saying it'smaintenance is expensive , repairs will cost a bomb

Where regular ac we can Change individual parts , inverter ac is fully automatic controlled by boards which has to be replaced for almost in many faults

Any opinion ..?

They are real efficent! Go for the scroll compressor. We got two and they have running throught the year from the last 4 years.

Can u give the name of the model u have ?

We got 2 Daikin FTXS60FVMA with heat pumps. You can get one without the heat pump because the ones with heat pump were Made in Thailand but were made for AU/NZ market thus conform to AU/NZ standards.Go for a R32 as mine one runs on R410A gas.

If you can spend some time surfing the Tech Specs of various models you saw at the store then you can end up with a better deal.Just look at the Btu/h (higher/W means more efficient),Power Consumption (lower better) and C.O.P (higher better) and Airflow Rate (higher better).

The easiest is to ask for"R32 or R410A", "How many kW?" & "How many BTU's?" and you are looking for a lower kW number with a higher Btu number preferable with a R32 refrigerant. Most will provide a similar warranty on the compressor.

Cu tubing does not warrant any enhanced performance over Al because the the radiator fins will be Al but you will find copper coated with tin mostly.

Cu tube/ Al fins are a big no if live anywhere near the coast/harsh climate because galvanic action will eat the Al fins because Sn just slows the galvanic action. Most modern one's use Aluminium alloys.

Scroll is highly suited for energy efficiency applications because it can start at a very small power at slow speed or in bypass mode..

Daikin they once started local manufacturing here, quality is not upto the mark.
That guy is vouching for ToshibhA, mitshuibishi , o general
Blue star atleast 10k less in price.

I don't think anyone here can tell you which one is better here without any data.
