plzzz help me

MKI only have radar advantage over MKK/MK2 because it uses israeli avionics and N011M radar which ensures detection of large sea-surface targets at a distance of up to 400 km.

It is a heavy class, long-range, multi-role, air superiority fighter and strike fighter. The variant also consists of French, Israeli and Indian subsystems. The MKI variant is a much more advanced fighter jet than the basic K and MK variants and is considered a 4.5 generation aircraft. Your ACM says that they dont want to compete with teh IAF, all they want is that they should offer credible detterence to an IAF attack in Pakistan, not neutral territory and certainly not in India. pretty clear mate...consistent with the Pakistani doctrine of defensive military.

And though the Eurofighter would have been an awsome choice (said to be an a/c second only to the F-22 Raptor) and would have given a relly tough fight to the MKI, F-16 is a more logical choice. With bases already established and no additional training required, more ecnonomical.

MKI is a very capable aircraft but untill its battle proven all we can do is guess.
Imho its being overrated solely cause it has Israeli and French avionics.
I'd like to see it combat against the F-15E or Rafale in future excercises to determine its true capabilities.

Without IFR, Links, AWACS, ground radars, highly agile WVR, smart BVR or smaller RCS the MKI would indeed make the difference. And 100 MKI backed up by hundreds antique planes does not sounf healthy either. Neither does its maintenance or costs.

Also, MKI only have radar advantage over F-16. if our Planes are backed by AWACs(they will be), even a thunder can give a tough fight!
