International law only for weaker states?

@queerbait I remember you were supporting US in some other thread for upholding their law & justice, now you know even they apply law & justice selectively as per their interest. Even US consulates in India can be in legal problem if we strictly go by the book. They handled the case of foreign diplomat with arrogance, not with diplomacy.

You know what happens in this forum too many times, you support a notion partially and then people jump all over you, accuse you , insult you and in your defense you find yourself supporting it completely and taking a stand that you really don't believe in. T be clear My stand on this issue was/is, U.S treated our diplomat badly and did not show enough respect, but as far as arrest was concerned they were within their rights.Basically, all the people in the forum blaming the maid, U.S got me angry as if the diplomat had done nothing wrong.Regarding this article, i truly believe that international law should be applied equally and not selectively,A good ex would be Raymond Davis case where he should have been prosecuted. And talking about applying rules for U.S consulate, yes we should do that if we find them committing serious offence and if they have only consular immunity.

The maid may not have been paid minimum US wages, but this is common among most poorer countries, even now Indian maids in Indian consulates in US will not get US minimum wages as their process of recruitment will be changed. Please read my previous post to @TruthSeeker.

And please also note that the maid was not an illiterate naive, she knew the terms of her employment, she went alone for Visa interview, she alone applied for the Visa and signed the application herself, and MOST IMPORTANTLY (And disturbingly), her father-in-law has worked under a US diplomat in US consulate in New Delhi, she was well aware of everything. The whole thing looks like a pre-planned game to permanently immigrate to US, just see how her entire family was 'evacuated' to US, you think it was easy to arrange? A US officer related to human trafficking investigation told to Times Now that the evacuation of entire family was highly unusual and it happened for the 3rd time in her 10 years career!! Many things are unusual here.
