Inside Story - Pakistan's army

.
i found it interestin.

Yes, it was very interesting. I found myself agreeing mostly with the woman from Islamabad, I think she had a much better understanding of the situation in Pakistan. I think the two men had a few valid points, but sometimes I was just apalled at some of the outdated statements, such as "this operation is increasing support for Taleban". That would have been true until about 6 months ago, but not anymore. Also, I think we've already had this debate before, the Pakistan Army is not as "Punjabi dominated" as some would want us to believe. Pathans are quite well represented in the military as well, particularly at the non-officer level. Lastly, I think that if a Pakhtoon heard the line "NWFP was pro-India before independence", he would just die of humiliation.

Thanks for posting, aj.

I would seriously like to challenge the 10% figure (Fast Foward to7:20).

SWAT has no strategic value...:disagree: (Here we go again).

Military Operation is all for Show

Deboandi's are confined to mosque's

Haha... Please stop my sides are splitting...

If SWAT was in the hands of the Taliban or not, is largely irrelvant

Haha... Is this guy serious... He's trying to say that the US and the Free world would tolerate the Taliban effectlvely controlling an entire district a stone's throw away from the Capital of a nuclear armed nation... (See what i mean by analysts).

Furthermore what does he think, the Taliban are just going to sit in peace in SWAT and suck on yak's milk? Or has he not being tuning into the tube for the past two months?

US Told Pak Pres to do more to fight millitants

:hitwall:Right i am officially confused... Which is it? Do you want us to fight them or not, cuz according to Mr. Butterball Schofield ( the taliban are irrelevant)...

The US has stressed that it is increasingly concerned that Pakistan's nuclear arsenal, may be at risk of falling into the hands of the militants

Ding, Ding, Ding... We have a winner!

24:11 -
The US does not have a dominating position over the Pakistani army

What! Are you serious!:what: ... I think he is!

Please share your thoughts on this... :D
