A few gadgets that are used by SF and Police useful for COIN Ops or hostage situations:
1. Prism-200 and handheld Range-R radar device - to see on the other side of the walls.
2. TEC Torch- to cut through walls in single slice
3. Smart and guided bullets - which guide themselves to the target when fired by the gun at any trajectory. This had a sensor that can transmit data to above 50m distance.

Pakistan has these.

. . . .
That was a case of incident site mismanagement even before the SSG guys came in.....spilled over a vast area.....
This warrants a debate. First hand information of conducted Ops, de-briefing and over all tactics used are not provided for a sound assessment. I had a hunch this wasn't about body armor for SSG as one the members kept debating.

Bannu ops in reality showed glaring mistakes n holes in our counter terror policies n at the same time wastage of huge sums of money in the training n arming of our para military forces.

Aa musa company had to be flown in to do the job...n musa company is the pinnacle of our spec ops/ CT forces...only ALLAH is above them.
We have been training n developing spec ops/CT forces both at police n F.C level n have been training them n equipping them in line with our spec ops forces, but when push comes to shove its musa comp. That has to be flown in to finish the job ......
Mutlab thori izzat ruk latay n might as well have sent a platoon of light commandos but no u have to send in musa company....

Its a failure all around n a disgrace.

My guy they are experimental not in current service. IIRC DARPA was working on guided bullets for precision weapons.
Even if they are doesn't make sense to equip every soldier with 1000$ bullet.

*are used for melting locks, steel rebars and sheet metals. Not for wall

but hey good force multiplier
Breaching tool, used in ops.

SSG is a few, out of 600,000 and a platoon or two is sent in Ops, among them are a few snipers .

The guided bullet maybe under works but makes a suitable weapon of choice for ops.

If I recall news reports correctly, SSG was also called in for the Karachi CPO op.

In the aftermath video of the COAS visiting, you could see some SSG folks present including an officer.

With a success rate of 20-35% for joining SSG, the duration of raising of SSG division becomes a topic for discussion.

In specialised training, the success rate is 80% for SSG rookies.

2. Comms jammer/identifier, not just cellular but common frequencies in use.
