almost one week ago Iranian news outlets announced that a science based company successfully built country's first ramjet engine and today finally details of the engine released.

RJ-HP1, Iranian first ramjet engine:

Length: 956.5 mm

Diameter: 360 mm

Ramjet weight: 53 kg

weight (Engine accessories): 25 kg

Materials: Super alloys, steel

Fuel: JP-4

Speed: Mach 2 Speed at low altitude and , Mach 2.7 at high altitude,

Flight altitude: <1000M when in cruising stage

Exhaust temp.: 2000K

Thrust: 13 kN (~2900 lbf)

after mass production of RJ-HP1, Iran can potentially use this engine to improve it's anti ship cruise missile inventory with supersonic missiles.

also the engine can power anti aircraft systems with relatively slower but very long range missiles like UK sea dart and US RIM-8 talos.

remember we did this with 360mm Diameter for the Engine but the Engine on P-800 Oniks, diameter is 710mm

i know, considering RJ-HP1 thrust compared to a missile like RIM-8 we can assume the engine can achieve same speed and specifications for a missile up to weight of ~500 km with 30-60 kg warhead (calculating the thrust/weight of RIM-8). the range highly depends on it's SFC but we know similar sea dart missile was able to reach up to 150 km with it's 35 kg kerosene fuel !!!.
it can be a lethal replacement for our kowsar and zafar cruise missiles to arm speed boats. also if the engine can achieve the same service ceiling and range as RIM-8 engine did, with a IIR sensor as terminal phase auxiliary guidance we can have a good anti aircraft missile for bavar.
