Information needed regarding Vehicle tax

Hello can any member specially from Karachi/Sindh help regarding information about vehicle annual tax.

here is some details so that you can understand what information i need.

Suppose If I have vehicle having Sindh registration Number and the vehicle is in use in any other city so am i suppose to pay the annual tax at Sindh/Karachi taxation department every now and then or can I pay it at KPK taxation department or the city the vehicle is plying?. Another question is can i get the taxation ticket for life time instead of paying every year? if yes what is the fee or procedure.

Oh ... ok then .... I thought you are buying a car, next thought I got is why is she buying an old car that too when the car models in Pakistan are not that good.

My mom got her car from Islamabad, (we're in KHI nowadays) I believe she pays her tax to the Sindh taxation department, I would love to help you out, but since my mom is asleep, I'll try and get answers from her tomorrow.

No yar not an old car am not buying. Someone needs to pay tax while the car is registered in Karachi with a number plate of Karachi while the car is in another city.

If you don't pay tax where you run the car than that city traffic police make challan against you.
If you don't pay tax where car registered than you can't sell your car without clearing pending tax in city where car is registered.

1. The tax will depend on the type of vehicle and its engine cc (etc. 1300 cc or 1500 cc)
2. You will have to pay the Tax in the province of registration of the vehicle only.
3. Registration cannot be shifted to any other province.
4. Yes you can pay a lifetime tax.
5. The procedure is that you will have to visit the Tax officer at Civic center and he will evaluate the Tax to be paid.
