Usually Chinese Muslim is a mix one, from this though....

I am not so sure actually and his mother looks like Native

His Father is Chinese, and His Mother is Javanese from Solo.
He is Muslim (Islam), and Celebrate Chinese New year.

And also Indonesia 4th President, KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) is also a Mix of Chinese and Javanese too.

Proud to have them.

I don't like ahok , so what? He screw my business , raise tax and wage. In fact many Chinese business man cursing him with his policy

Are you really Chinese?

I think, if you are Chinese, you must be Proud of them.
Rio Haryanto and Mr.Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) is an Example of Very Talented people from Chinese Descent.

And about Raise wage Policy by Jakarta Governor, Mr.Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) is Good.

I must honest, that Indonesian Minimum Wage is very low compare to other country.
In this year 2016, Jakarta Minimum Wage just Rp.3.100.000,- (Below 235 US Dollar) per Month.
Do you think it's still to High? o_O

And Mr.Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) policy to raise Jakarta Minimum Wage a couple US Dollars in this year, is not a Big Problem at all, I think. How can that ruin your Bussiness?

Until this day, what his doing to Jakarta is very good. Jakarta is changing today, no Doubt it's because His Services as Jakarta Governor.

Its good to see that he has integrated his Chinese and Javanese identity into the overarching 'Indonesian' identity. Good!

@Daniel808 , may i ask you frankly, are there any notable Indonesian-Japanese people in Indonesia? Any known political figures, or economic leaders in Indonesia that may have some Japanese ancestry? Thank you, terima kasi.

Thanks @Daniel808 , i am not surprised at the result, given the large Chinese migration to Southeast Asia from the 16th to the 20th century. I have noticed the same also in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, and even in Viet Nam where political, economic leaders of Chinese ancestry have taken the helm to transform and revitalize the host nation(s). I commend the Chinese immigrants' ability to assimilate and to partake in the spirit of cooperation in the host nation. We see the same also here in Japan.

:)

Gus dur got chinese & arabic mixed blood from his ancestor far beyond 15th century,

His family is Javanese of mixed Chinese-Arabic origins with some native blood. From his paternal line, he is descended from a well-known Moslem missionary from China known as Syekh Abdul Qadir Tan Kiem Han who was a disciple of Sunan Ngampel-Denta (Raden Rahmat Bong Swie Hoo) – one of the Nine Wali (Holy Islamic Saints) who became one of the first Islamic Kings on Java who islamicized Java in the 15-16th

It's good to see some Asian representation on the F1 grid, it's meant to be the World Driver's Championship afterall but pretty much is 22 European guys (with the occasional S.American) year after year.

So far the most populous region on earth has produced very few actual F1 drivers (21 Japanese, 2 Indians, 1 Thai, 1 Malysian and 0 Chinese).

When you consider there have been 100+ British, 75 French and 60+ German it really is a very pathetic record.

I hope he's there on merit rather than because he can attract a big sponsor. Paid drivers near well ruined the sport. From what I remember, he wasn't anything special in GP2 but I haven't watched GP2 in a couple of years and looking it up he improved in the last season. Let's hope he's more Kamui Kobayashi and less Alex Yoong.
He's a paid driver- Manor cannot employ anything else right now.

The dullness is partially called forth by the Mercedes dominance since 2014, however moments of excitements happened when someone, mostly Sebastian Vettel last year, was able to seriously challenge the Mercs. The Hungarian Grand Prix was one such example as well as the United States Grand Prix, which was won by Lewis Hamilton, a Mercedes driver and 2014 & 2015 champion.

Major rule changes are coming up for next year, resulting in cars three seconds faster a lap but I'm not expecting much.
Don't forget the British GP, that was a crazy race from start to finish and the best man won ;)

+ I also happened to be in attendance, a great day! :D

You should know that only 3 best driver in Formula 2 competition that can go to Formula 1. And it has been F-1 competition nature to get sponsor from the driver. Even Niki Lauda has used his own money to secure seat at Ferrari F 1 team. Niki Lauda come from a very rich German family.

Rio Haryanto has become a Manor team F 1 test driver in 2011.

He's a paid driver- Manor cannot employ anything else right now.

Do you mean GP2? And if so that's not really true, Rio's teamate at Manor comes from DTM (German touring care series), Torro Rosso's Verstappen came straight from Formula 3 and Kevin Magnussen came from Renault 3.5 series.

Success in GP2 is not a sure shot at getting into F1- far from it.

That's not true. He took out a bank loan to fund his way into the BRM F1 team but not Ferrari- Ferrari are the biggest team in F1 and they don't need or take pay drivers.

Niki Lauda come from a very rich German family.
Nikki Lauda is Austrian.

Of course success in GP2 is not a sure shot at getting F-1 seat, as getting sponsor is the second big thing.
