Can u explain this Bangsamoro basic law in brief, is this some kind of formulation for Federal state of mindanao? Will there be any election to choose the governmant?

From recent poll, It seems that there's a very strong opposition from the mindanao people itself.

Federal no the Philippines is unitary form of government however we allow regions to have autonomy typical example CAR in Luzon and ARMM Southern Mindanao which the Bangsamoro region will replace and add more cities and province after a plebiscite of those areas. So in nut shell the BBL (bangsamoro basic law) is replacement for ARMM which was result of our first peace deal with MNLF the original group of rebels and were the MILF came from since back then they want to continue the war but after the War in 2000 the MILF was almost destoryed but a golria replace Erap now mayor of manila as president and peace talks reopened and now 15 years later the BBL came in to be.

So if their is ARMM already why do we need the BBL well the MILF believes that ARMM failed to gave autonomy to the moros in mindanao well the truth is it failed because the person leading them nur miswari became corrupt and wasted the money billions of funds gone like so anyhow the ARMM or Automous Region of Muslim Mindanao is union of moro populated areas this union of provinces compose of sulu, Magindanao, tawi tawi, Basilan, Lanao del sur which as government differnet from the rest of the Philippines in the Regional level becuase its like other state but only in autonomous sense it can have treaties with other countries, has its own congress the Regional assembly and headed by Governor along with his own excutive departments mini cabinet but unlike the central government no supreme court just local sharia courts for muslim issues but its still part of the Philippines still uses pesos currency and the Philippine military still protects said areas and people in the ARMM are still filipino citizens now in the BBL they would be some changes one the Goverment will be Parlimentary in nature headed by cheif minister as head government so no more governors and ceremonial role will be given to the wali and the Regional assembly will be parliment type were the chief minister will be elected but this time it will have seperated sharia court system with its own supreme court according to the BBL it will only be for muslims but i doubt that but i guess the draft of the new BBL in congress the sharia supreme court will still answer to the supreme court of the Philippines how would that be done i dont know i guess will see when the law is pass.

No comment about some view toward Malaysia involvement in Mindanao peace process.

But i do believe, since there are several rebel groups in Mindanao that fight for authority to rule this province, they can actually fight in democratic process through local election. Philippines Government, need to facilitate this transition and help them with all the legal and administrative requirement to participate in local election. Once they agree to reform themselves, Government can and must disarm this rebel groups and let them continue their strugle through the democratic channel.

Aceh with their GAM would be a good case to look at.
