Indiscipline in the IAF
Tuesday, May 15, 2007 12:56:57 pm
India's Air Force has an administrative headache troubling the top brass. New Air Chief Fali Homi Major has received a complaint that several air force personnel posted in the Vayu Bhavan in Delhi have been coming in late to work and taking prolonged lunch hours.
The administration department of the Air Force had sent a note to the Vice Chief and officers in charge of personnel and administration in this regard.
The top brass has taken serious note of this and is considering measures to stop this breach in discipline.
One of the measures being considered to check disciplinary problems is stopping entry into Vayu Bhavan after 15 minutes from when the day begins and closing the gates 15 minutes before the day ends. The same applies to the lunch break.
