One thing i must say to pakistanis and indians alike .. guys ! With their catchy ads several american MNCs are trying to create an artificial impression that south asian men are obsessed with white skin ! Well may be they are to some extent but what is more important is, they are trying to shove a "modern culture" on us and at the same time earning big bucks !

We all know how much people in our homes and females in particular spend on those cosmetics ! That money is a total waste since there are ZERO scientific proofs that those chemicals improves skin tone !

This is a South Asian problem but we have had a few in bollywood on the darker side who have done well.
