Probably lost something there in the translation. In his press conference, I can clearly recall he focused on the fact that there are similarities. Didn't say it were the Indians, nor did he say they were the SAME people. Also his own neck is on the line here. The Sharifs conducted the SL security just fine. This guy came in, he started shuffling the police officers, many from the SL security were shuffled too.

I think the Land grabber theory is no longer on the table since the video has been released of the attack. It was an ambush for the bus, they were hiding and as soon as the bus stopped they came out and opened fire.

So expect a few contradictions, the investigations are going on, some leads will go forward others won't. True picture might take a month or two to unfold.

Yes, I tend to agree. This has done damage to Pakistan. Therefore whoever did it must have been wanting to hit Pakistan's economy and so on. Since any group in Pakistan is dependent on Pakistan's economy, it is a good guess the dark hand of evil controlling the perpetrators of this crime were from outside the region. The truth will come out when one of those 12 attackers will be captured. There is news on the other thread that Pakistani team was not attacked because Captain Younis decided to go 5 minutes after SL team departed while usually both teams depart together at same time. The questions arise are, Why there was 5 minutes delay?. Was he Pakistani team also a Target?.

Another information that came out is, the route for the SL Team Bus has been changed last minute but despite that the attackers knew the changed route and attacked. Is there any possibility of Inside Job?.

That might be true if the Army was looking forward to launch a coup. All indications state otherwise, Kayani has no interest in showing the current government down. Even today Kayani answered Zardari's call for advice. If you're indicating towards a false flag operation, there were many softer targets. This however has done PERMANENT damage to Pakistan. I don't think your theory has much weight in it.

Agreed. Indians are trying to sell BS stories about Pakistan Army to the world. They do not need such cheap attack for staging coup if they want they will do it without any reason.

During comprehensive and multilateral talks between the United States, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Chief of Army Staff Ashfaq Parvez Kayani told US members of Congress that the Pakistani Army would not intervene in the wake of the deteriorating political situation in Pakistan, the New York Times reported on Friday.



The Pakistani army chief, who took power following the resignation of Pervez Musharraf in November 2007, has unlike his predecessor vowed to avoid army intervention in politics and government affairs.



The question and answer session, which took place in Washington, was part of a broader dialogue between the three partners in the ‘War on Terror’ taking place in Afghanistan. In response to a question by one US congressman, Kayani stated that the army would not intervene even if the political situation deteriorated further, the New York Times quoted an unnamed Pakistani official as saying.



Unprecedentedly, the three-way talks include top military, government and intelligence officials from all three countries. ‘These were not just photo ops,’ top US state department official for the region, Richard Holbrooke stated. ‘Meetings in this configuration have not taken place.’



On Thursday, Gen Kayani was inducted into the US military’s international Hall of Fame in a small yet refined ceremony at Fort Leavenworth.

Afzal Guru is still hanging between life and death. He was Indian intellegence operative still he was implicated by India in Paliament attack.

Still no proof about his involvment has been shown by India.
