the very purpose of forming a strategic forces command is to bring all startegic assets under one control so that their utilisation is synchronised. since SFC will directly come under nuclear command authority for nuclear related activites, so it is advisable that it has its own resources for launshing nuclear weapons in case felt neecessary.

also personnel under strategic command will be specially cleared by intelligence so that will reduce chance of anyone spying.

third aspect but most important one, the accounting of nuclear weapons is vastly different from conventional weapons. the components are never placed together and all items are accounted stringently. hence it makes sense to have trained dedicated manpower at disposel of SFC rather then positioning at a normal base.

I hope we increase our nuclear arsenal, increase the proposed production of SSBN and SSN, increase the number of fighters in the fleet of nuclear bombers. Either we should do secretly in the Himalayas or the uninhabited islands but we need it not to attack someone but to ensure our existence.

the artical seems to state that India is being irresponssible. we have a no first use policy and we need minium credible dettrence . so if we need these fighters i dont see how is affecting the balance .
