Yes. North has significantly higher population and low employment and is thus the Army backbone. But South has good representation as officers as well as in Navy and Air Force.

India is not a homogeneous country that has a common language, religion , customs or ethnicity and not the "difference of opinion". A clarification , the OP is on the inequity in tax distribution and not "day dreaming disintegration"

Indeed, but where is it said that only homogeneous countries should exists ??? Why can't there be multilingual, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious single nation ??? FYI, almost all nations in the world have all these characteristics with the exception of a few. The tax/revenue distribution, in India is not w.r.t the region rather done as per the need of the states and above all to a greater extend the political affiliation of the state government with the center. So when BJP is in center, expect more favor to BJP ruled states. The same has been happening while Congress, JD etc ruled the center.

Regarding the disintegration thing, I was referring to many of your past posts where you like many of our fellow boarders talk about the disintegration of India, which I reiterate is nothing more than a day dream.

only on record India is multi cultural and multi racial. If it values multiracialism or prides diversity , it wont be imposing Hindi on Dravidian Tamilnadu or exclusively promote Hindi internationally with Tamilnadu tax money
