Why is it that India blames almost anything and everything bad that happens in India, whether on the easter front or northern or western front, on ISI ?

Is ISI really that effective ? Because the frequency with which Indian media and their public and politicians blame ISI for so many things, it seems ISI is deeply and widely entrenched within Indian society, across the country.

Let's have everyone's views.

let me explain.

after the 1971 war, pakistan realized that conventionally, it is out of india's league. it therefore seemed logical that to take down a bigger enemy, you resort to epsionage. since then the ISI has received massive funding from the pakistan government and has become the largest intelligence agency in the world today. ISI, true to its goal, forments trouble in india as much as it can. from seperatist movements and terrorism to fake indian currency via nepal.

lately however, as india became more adept at killing the "none state actors" that try to sneak across the border, the assets the ISI cultivated that was meant to be used against india began to pile up inside pakistan resulting in the situation we see today.

nevertheless, it stands to reason that the ISI still does have several sleepers across india and is active in so many other fronts including laundering counterfeit indian currency

Many young Indians aspire to join the ISI. I mean the Indian Statistical Institute. Not all ISI references point to the Pakistani agency.
