I think this is the one shown in the pic.i like this one, is it amphibious?
I think India might get BAE system ICV for this because Mahindra has a tie up with them and BAE will definitely try to sell their weapons via Mahindra.
Also, I am attaching a copy of a Armored vehicle which is the product of Mahindra-BAE JV.
I know this, i never said its an ICV i just used the word armoured vehicle but i should have used MPV.About this vehicle, its a MPV (Mine Protected Vehicle) not an ICV. The RR use similar vehicles which are made by the OFB.

I know OFB MPV is used by IA, I just showed that Mahindra MPV because it really looks like a world class product.
The OFB MPV
I hope IA don't go Russian product this time. Yeah warrior is better, i posted the video. I also heard OFB is about to join hands with Russian export controller, Rosonboronexport. Also you have to differ here, the SEP/alligator are proposed by BAE, but were developed from Swedish Hägglunds (which now is BAE systems) that also developed the CV90. So if they want to offer something, they actually can propose the Warrior, the CV90 (my favourite) and the SEP as a co-development, but IA might go for lighter and cheaper Russian versions.
You are right, its also a world class product but still I like that Mahindra MPV more than OFB one.Come to think about it, the OFB MPV is no less 'world-class'. It is an analogue of the 'Buffalo' MPV from South Africa. The Buffalo is a tried and tested design, was used extensively in Namibia and Mozambique during the military insurgencies and had a high survivability.
Anything happened in this deal or this deal was a hoax ??/US-India deal to develop combat vehicle: Report
October 13, 2009
Setting a precedent in the growing Indo-US defense and military relationship, India has signed up to partner with the US on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program according to US defense website DoDBUZZ.
The report says Kevin Fahey, program executive officer for ground combat systems, announced that India ‘signing of a letter of intent to participate in the next phase of the program’.
This is the first time that India is partnering with the US in the joint development of military hardware. Australia is already a partner in the program. According to the report, both countries will have the benefit of ‘lower costs’, if they ‘stick with it’. The JLTV is meant to replace the existing High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), better known as the Humvee, and is designed for an armored combat and scout role.
Significantly, at the moment the armies of both countries are conducting an exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas (War Exercise) 09′ at Babina near Jhansi in India. The US deployment includes 17 Stryker vehicles. According to the Indian Army, the exercise will focus on Counter Insurgency (COIN) and Counter Terrorism operations in a semi-urban scenario. Presumably, the Indian Army will also be scoping out the Strykers as well as possibly, the Javelin anti-tank guided missile.
The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is a U.S. Army, USSOCOM, and U.S. Marine Corps program to replace the current HMMWV[1] with a family of more survivable vehicles and greater payload. In particular, the HMMWV was not designed to be an armored combat and scout vehicle but has been employed as one, whereas the JLTV will be designed from the ground up for this role.
The deal that i mentioned above is the US cost effective replacement for Hummer while FICV is meant to replace our BMP2 and its comparable to US Stryker.
We are looking towards the Mahindra's Axe and all as a role performed in US forces by Humvee.
US army themselves think Humvee is not that safe for tactical mission hense they are going for JLTV.
I hope India should also look towards smaller private player like Shri Lakshmi Def. because sometimes smaller companies can provide better products than bigger giants.
I hope we opt for Viper over Mahindra's Markmen. US is going for JLTV, India should go for its Indian version. Just look at the similarities :
Shri Laksmi Viper
I hope MOD does not act like bunch of old age politicians and beurocrats who just wants money. If IA really need something like Humvee, then we should go for Viper rather than get something from abroad or get some poor product from IOF to support them or take some bribe and give away the project to our Domestic Auto giants like Mahindra, Tata etc.
Yes thats what i was saying we should go for Viper. But it would be selected only if Shri Lakshmi people are willing to pay bribe to our MOD people otherwise those ugly Mahindra Marksmen or Tata group product would be selected. This one is super cool!!! Think you are driving one one of these.... IA should go for it and if some modifications required should be done in cooperation with OFB, BEML etc.
I think if in the current condition it does not fit IA requirement then MOD should give some money to the company to make necessary changes to fit IA requirements. This company is not that big like Tataa and Mahindras and so MOD should be careful in utilizing there expertise. Small companies need order to survive but unfortunately they are not receiving one.IA should go for it and if some modifications required should be done in cooperation with OFB, BEML etc.
