India has hiked its military budget by 10pc to 2.74 trillion Indian rupees (INR) excluding pensions compared to previous fiscal year s (2016-17) budget of INR 2.49tr.

Modi’s regime has allocated 12.78pc of total govt. spending for defence outlays in current financial year. The move is aimed at the installation of latest military hardware along Pakistani border thus posing a direct threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty.

India is deploying thousands of tanks on Line of Control (Loc) in light of its military doctrine titled as “Cold Start” despite fact that strategist planners in Islamabad have developed state of the art ‘tactical strategic weapons’ to dismantle New Delhi’s war designs.

Defence analysts narrate that gap between arch rivals on military spending has widened to 1:7; that is India spends seven times more than Pakistan on its military.

It is hard for Pakistan to match India’s spending as latter economy is comparatively much greater in size.

Therefore, Islamabad believes that India is disturbing the balance of power in South Asia. Islamabad is keen to maintain minimum military deterrence and views its tactical weapons as an indispensable instrument for thwarting India s malicious desires.

They rather die than watch india reach the top of the world. Plus they have a policy of first use of a nuke.
Currently don't have any idea about defending their nation from retaliatory nuke fire.

Without nukes we are still most certainly powerful enough to give them a bloody nose, which is more than what is required to deter them.

India cannot defend itself from nukes, this is a preposterous notion. Those systems have never been proven, and nukes have already got counter measures to beat these already feeble systems.

Pakistani media once again doing all it can to put fear in the already empty mind of the youth. This media don't present the statics that India only spends 1.5% of its GDP while Pakistan spends around 2-2.5% of GDP.

Plus the Pakistani military gets 20% of Government's budget, while Indian Army only gets 12.5% of the whole budget.

India's Defense Budget is 7 times larger because India spends more on the salary of the personnel, which gets back in the economy by helping in increasing the consumption, and very less on the Capex.

What conventional advantage bharati posses over Pakistan? last i heard they were whining on media that gap of their numerical superiority is at lowest against Pakistan while they are dreaming to counter China.. which is hilarious.

Well, China's budget is more than 4 times our new budget and US is nearly 13 times our budget.

Everyone upgrades according to their capabilities and requirements. We are following a planned expansion of defence budget as decided by our defence forces and the ministry of finance; which is normal and nominal for us.

Well thank god we didn't increased more as was expected earlier. Last year we purchase around $51 bn same would be expected this year as we are modernizing our army. Export is expected twice than last year, indigenous programs will be fast tracked so nice budget overall.

Yeah me too, its funny that India never attacked Pak though that is expected to change in future. Every aspect is being taken care gradually while Pak is just pilling up their nukes. It would be sad if they won't be able to use it, i hope they could though.
