India’s attitude points to desire for war: Sartaj Aziz

Advisor to Prime Minister on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that by cancelling dialogues, India has given rise to uncertainty and the threats from the Indian leadership points to a dangerous desire for war.

He said that firing and shelling from across the Line of Control and the Working Boundary without provocation and efforts made by India to change the status of Kashmir all by themselves would further complicate an already volatile situation.

Speaking at the concluding session of the two-day Ideas Conclave hosted by the Jinnah Institute, Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan was willing to continue enduring, unconditional and fruitful negotiations with India but they were the ones to cancel the secretary level talks and now they will have to make the first move to revive the dialogue.

He also said that India’s attitude towards countering terrorism was full of contradictions as on one hand they emphasize the need to put an end to the menace while on the other hand create distractions for Pakistan’s Army engaged in operation Zarb-e-Asb.

Well.It seems our leadership dont need Pakistan and its bilateral relationship.
Latest PIA episode is another example.

Why do we even have to prove anything here? Will we gain anything from this discussion or reach a conclusion of this useless discussion except seeing more chest thumping?

For me I am pretty much satisfied with our capability, if they want a war they will get one hell of a war, until then I am signing off from this thread my dose of Indian superiority being fed to me is running dangerously high need to take a Piss so its excreted from my system.

Your leaders make statements REGULARLY
which totally sort of underline your weaknesses

These statements are :

1 Pakistan wants peace
2 Kashmir should be RESOLVED
3 India is showing agression / agressiveness
4 The WORLD community should HELP in resolving Kashmir

My question is why do you START Hostilities on the LOC if you CANNOT
take our RETALIATION

.
Well , Although an off topic bait, but I'll still bite....

If kargil was a sure shot victory, then I pray for thousands of such victories for you and your military, where your entire armed forces and your fancy jets stood frozen in fear, while your brave soldiers were being blown to smitherens by Indian Artillery and Indian Air Force.

If it was a victory, it was for pervez musharraf as the kargil debacle sent your democratic process back by another decade... I wish you such victories time and again.

As far as 65 is concerned, a conflict whose objective was to liberate kashmir from big bad Indians, ended up defending lahore against Indian invasion, surely can only be spinned as a victory in Planet Pakistan.

But in a way you are correct, every conflict with India has been a victory for pakistani military establishment as it resulted into dictatorships consolidating power in the nation for years to come.

Maybe , the definition of victory or loss is skewed in planet pakistan.
You people repeat the same media fed story about Kargil again and again. Was you compatriot saying anything different that you had to jump in? In 65 if we initiated the conflict to liberate Kashmir why were we set on defensive? Ever think about things you're spoon fed? It was your generals who wanted to drink alcohol in Lahore gymkhana and ended up tasting their own blood.

.
Yea our army initiated the war and obviously they had calculated what damage india could inflict. Us interfered because there was a chance of it going nuclear and Nawaz sharif ordered army to return after the pressure.

I'm hoping this time you'll get it because I said the same thing in my last post and you came up with silly question. As far as 71 is concerned. East Pakistan and west Pakistan were geographically 2 separate lands. Therefore it was much easier for you to interfere as the supplies for our army had to come from west Pakistan. Nothing very brave about it either. Balochistan has been facing internal conflicts since 60s. It just got attention during musharraf's time. With all your interference what have you been able to do about it? Just entering your forces into a separated land having conflicts and jumping up and down about it may be a thing for you.

American didn't call NS to US, infact Americans discouraged NS from visiting.. afterall it was there independence day, It was only Pakistani leadership, which was eager to save face.

Why didnt Americans pressurise India to declare ceasefire if they were so scared of the conflict becoming nuclear?

If the war had to escalate, it would have escalated in the beginning, when for Indian army was suffering setbacks..there was no threat of escalation or India opening a second front, two months into the conflict, when India was winning on the ground, Pakistan had already lost the ability to target NH1 D and one and half divisions of Indian army were tied up in Kargil.

Education time...
this is your Air Chief Marshal Asghar Khan.

Before you attack his credentials because of his objectivity read the following:

In 1950, Asghar Khan assumed the directorship of the Directorate-General of the Air Operations (DGAO). In 1955, Asghar Khan was appointed as the Assistant Chief of the Air Staff in the Air Headquarters, directing the air administration and personnel department at the Air Headquarters. As Assistant Chief of the Air Staff, Asghar Khan established the major units and infrastructure including the Fighter Leaders School (now Combat Commander's School), the Air Staff College and the College of Aeronautical Engineering at the Pakistan Air Force Academy. As assistant chief of the air staff, Asghar Khan also instituted the Inspectorate directorate for the air force and initiated the tradition of regular air staff presentations. Two of his brothers, Squadran Leader Khalid Khan and Pilot Officer Asif Khan were killed during service with the Pakistan Air Force. Prime minister Huseyn Suhravardy approved the appointment of Asghar Khan as the commander-in-chief of Pakistan Air Force. In 23 July 1957, Prime minister Suhrawardy upgraded AVM Asghar Khan to three-star rank air marshal, making him the first native Air Force Commander-in-chief, yet at the age of 36, also the youngest to-date

Did you listen to the opening remarks of the host? This guy has been retired for more than forty years. Now all of a sudden he thinks everything is Pakistan army's fault. Some of these retired Army people who have held highest posts get a little psyched out if they don't get attention and make such statements to stir things up. He's not the first one. And most of all he's quite old to be making such statements if he kept serving the army when he could think better and was energetic then in a way he's calling himself a fool too.

take our RETALIATION

What the pakistanis don't realise, or even if they do is they take their imagination to the extreme of nuclear war or conquest by India. What they don't realise is that it is a planned offensive, both diplomatic and firepower on the LOC, and they have to put up with it and keep weeping about it to all and sundry.

They figure it as or console themselves with the assumption that India has increased retaliation on the border or in its ministers statements because India they assume is losing in Afghanistan or that pakistan has been able to reverse our position in Afghanistan. Which is far from truth. Our present dispensation isn't too eager in Afghanistan because the international community is leaving from there and we do not have a bear's back to ride on in Afghanistan. We will leave it to the pakistanis and the afghans to sort it out and only enter when the international community re enters.

The sending proxies and to keep hostilities at the LoC is a well oiled machine and is that policy is like riding the tiger...they cannot back out of it lest the Kashmiri focused groups in pakistan become another ttp of which they have warned Pakistan already.

They will do what they have been doing and we will do what we have been doing successfully..We have breached their last defense which is their army and brought them to bomb their own lands and people indiscriminately. They project it as some sort of victory but we know what will be the end result. Getting to fight their own proxies bitterly and bomb their own towns, hamlets and people was pure genius.

Pakistan has to prepare for a war, its only a matter of when these self radicalized Hindutvas go on a maha yudh drive. Pakistan's military strategy should focus on inflicting mass casualties on Indian civilians for voting these extremists into office. Hindutvas need to be told that their little Hindu Reich will actually result in a collective 'chita' in which they will burn collectively.

@Imran Rashid

Pakistan will miss Singh - Newspaper - DAWN.COM

@Abu Zolfiqar

It is YOUR leadership that is singing the PEACE tune not us

You have not yet been told the correct facts about the damage done to
your military logistical infrastructure by India

And the casualty figures are also being suppressed

The simple fact of the matter is that YOU have developed
a SENSE OF entitlement because of Man mohan Singh

That the Indian govt will overlook your LOC firing

But no ; NOT anymore

That is HURTING your ego

well lets see I have PLENTY and PLENTY of sources who are active in the military - a number of whom I see on a very regular basis....what information do you have that they dont? Casualty figures "suppressed" really dude? It's only your barking media and your barking stray dogs (politicians) who exaggerate, not our side.

our "military logistical infrastructure" .....come up with that yourself?

why dont you elaborate -if you can and you dont have too many feathers stuck up your azz

I'm gonna have to save this one. Thank to a seasoned dot-head for the good laughs.

India has to prepare for a war, its only a matter of when these self radicalized Badboodar Mulla Community will try to go on as usual Jihad drive. Indian military strategy should focus on inflicting mass casualties on Pakistani civilians for letting these extremists into office. Pakistani Muslims need to be told that their little shitty, stinky & stupid Muslim Reich will actually result in a collective Kabar in which they will rot collectively.

:woot:  :omghaha:

Your nonsensical tripe is the result of your ISPR propaganda machinery working overtime to drill this shit into the brains of the sheeple as well as the crap dished out by your mullah brigade. And you absorb this garbage hook line and sinker. Shows complete intellectual bankruptcy.

Grow up and try being more rational instead of spewing gobbledygook and rubbish which makes me laugh at your idiocy.

So now you are denying the not so ceremonious reception your fighter pilot(s) got when they tried intruding in 2008? You're denying what happened in 2002 @ Op. Parakram.

Because we ALL know that ISPR was the only "news agency" to report that

Try to avoid going "full retard" when you post

Yes you are absolutely correct, a retired Air Chief marshal, who also was Director of Directorate-General of the Air Operations and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff in the Air Headquarters needs to learn from you. Remind me of your credentials again....
