India's active coronavirus cases surpass China's
India now has more active coronavirus cases than China. As on Friday, India has 2088 active COVID-19 positive cases while China's official numbers of active cases now stand at 1727. Check details here:

Meanwhile, the global coronavirus toll crossed 53,000 on Friday with Italy (13,915) and Spain (10,348) accounting for nearly half the fatalities, while the number of cases was fast approaching a million, with the US having over a fifth of them, as per Worldometer's coronavirus updates.

The US, which had the maximum cases at 234,462, reported the third-highest number of deaths at 5,607, with 1,374 of them in New York City.




France, at 4,503 deaths, was in fourth place and was followed by China, from where the disease outbreak was first reported with 3,322 (3,199 of them in Hubei province, where epicenter Wuhan is located), and Iran at 3,160 deaths.

In India, Maharashtra has reported the most deaths (16) so far, followed by Gujarat (7), Madhya Pradesh (6), Punjab (4), Karnataka (3), Telangana (3), West Bengal (3), Delhi (4), Jammu and Kashmir (2), Uttar Pradesh (2) and Kerala (2).

By this account, even Pakistan has more active cases than China, despite having 1/7th the population.

China has long passed it's peak, as they claim, whereas India and Pakistan are still growing in cases, so it's not fair to compare.

Yes, According to Govt, Cases in India are Less..
But if you look cases on other countries like US, Spain, Italy...... then China, Iran, India and Pakistan cases are Suspicious.

On India, Pakistan, Iran population is high, health system is weak, population religious, illiterate and stupid,
Most of population only want to cure illness via worship and quakes..

Govt may be hiding corona cases and may be hiding their failures (to reduce cases) and want to get rid of pressure from opposition,
and there is other reason is that due to non availability of testing kits and other equipments, cases seems low..

some experts are saying there may be more than 16000 cases in Pakistan, and experts in India may be saying cases in India will be more than china in future

Unfortunately, India will suffer grievously from this. Not only due to its poverty - for it is always the poorest that suffer most - but because of the decrepit and ailing political system it inherited from Britain. The chaos of its political life and governance will prevent the coordinated response necessary to successfully tackle a crisis like this.

It really is terrible to think about. People all over the world are going to needlessly die because of the religious belief that democracy and the chaos it brings is the only way to regulate human affairs.
