Having said that, don't doubt your companies so easily just to put blame on them, from what I have heard the Chinese locomotives were too heavy for the Pakistani tracks, which lead to the problems.

Government rail is important, however private companies don't make trains for the government in substantial amounts. In other word they are too small to be noticed.

companies like CRH are monitored heavily because they fulfill massive governmental contracts.
