Why Russia and Iran would destroy Taliban ..More interestingly Russia and Iran is in negotiation phase with them...So emergence of such alliance is not possible..Hence the assumption is wrong.Last to add Afghanistan is not Syria..

Russia, India and Iran were close to a similar alliance in 2001 before September 11th attacks come by
Iran is no friend of the Taliban given their record of killing Shias.

Today Russia cares less about the Taliban since Taliban is out of power

I always chuckle when Indians talk about Afghanistan. I mean literally they have no land border, no cultural similarities or anything. Infact most of the conquerors who invaded in Indian and ruled them for centuries where in fact came from Afghanistan (at-least in some form). Current Afghan government just need India for money and we all know they won't last very long. Pakistan-China-Russia will now make sure that peace returns to Afghanistan.

Taliban is a loose collection of groups with varying degree of control and support from Pakistan
Pakistan is the biggest backer of the Taliban. There is no evidence Iran has supported the Taliban.

If Iran was backing Taliban all the provinces bordering Iran would be in turmoil.

I don't understand ..Why Iran has official invited Taliban ?if they have nothing to do with ..The major and sole dominated group headed by Mullah Habibutllah. Inviting arm group in presence of Government is simple acknowledgement of parallel authority..If Pakistan is biggest backer then why Russia and Iran negotiation to taliban..It's simple ..India is no where in Afghanistan equation..Please tell me what Mullah Mansoor was doing with valid visa stamp in Iran...

look no further than Syria as to what Russia can accomplish

And Taliban are not just pushtoons ,, Majortiy are pushtoons but taliban enjoys support from vast majority of population ....

What happened when soviet union tried supporting northern alliance in 70s and 80s ??? northern alliance is not even that popular ....

The folks Soviets supported are different. Najibullah was a Pusthun. Massoud Shah who was one of key leaders of Northern Alliance fought the Soviets.

BS...idea whoever has thought about it. But it is also true that Afganistan can only be a successful nation state if it pursue the path of reconciliation among different groups. Otherwise, they are open to be manipulated and exploited by every one.
